Nope, still there for me, next to the 3 dot button right?

App version is 2.8.1.146834365 on my 6P if that helps.
Hmm, cheers for that - yes, its normally to the left of the overflow icon top right. I'm on 2.8.0.146702223 (G.Play shows no updates) for my 6P. Got two Chromecasts in the house, and they work perfectly with YouTube...it's just photos doing this on two devices so far.

https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chromecast/LBBL2ncP8Xs - Seems I'm not alone so I'll try and work out wtf is going on.

Edit: Seems Google have removed Casting from G.Photos for now...

Wait, they removed it? But...

Well, you can grab the APK here anyway if you want the latest version: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/photos/photos-2-8-1-146834365-release/

I'm looking for an app so that I can control my S7 from my PC, as in seeing the screen 'casted' from the phone to the PC but not limited to screen cast but also open apps, like typing in whatsapp etc.

Does one exist? I'm sure I have seen a twitch streamer use one in the past?

TIA :)

Sidesync maybe? I've used it a little in the past.

Sidesync is something I never knew I needed, thanks!

I'm now looking at an exact replica of my phone screen on my PC and using my mouse I can navigate round it.
Every day I transfer pictures & videos to and from my phone, I have other methods but this is so easy.
I don't look at my phone much so I can now see my notifications popping up.
This has made it very easy for me.

Have you tried the use and keyboard sharing feature? Just roll the cursor off the edge of the PC screen and it appears on your phone screen!!!

Now if only my tablet was an Android tablet, I could have had a small utility "display" for various tasks this way!

I'll be impressing my colleagues on Monday with these new super powers, you better axe somebody :D

For those with non Samsung phones, Vysor works pretty well:

Chrome extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/vysor/gidgenkbbabolejbgbpnhbimgjbffefm

App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.vysor&hl=en

Been trying Cortana on my phone to display notifications on my Windows desktop/SP4, and while it feels more "integrated" I noticed if I check them on my phone they don't dismiss on the PC like Pushbullet does. Also if I'm in a group chat on WhatsApp where I can get plenty of notifications building up in a short time, on the Windows notification area it starts looking like a mess... Think I'll go back to Pushbullet for notifications.

Damn, that's cool!

Right, I keep getting Quickbooks adds/notifications on my phone that when I click on simply disappear? I've never installed anything Quickbooks on my phone so I assume it's spyware :(

Apart from flattening, are they any dedicated apps out there that might be able to help?

Thanks.

I used this app to find sneaky notifications: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coconuts.pastnotifications&hl=en_GB

I noticed I kept having a notification which popped up for a split second and disappear before I can even check every couple of hoirs or so, even after rebooting the phone. This app showed me it was Google Play Music messing up. Cleared the data on the app and solved it.
