New essential Android apps thread

Now that TuneIn Radio has decided it wants to be a social media app, can anyone recommend a decent alternative internet radio app? I don't want to know what others are listening to or need an account just to listen to the bloody radio!

I signed in with Google a while ago, so it remembers my favourite channels, takes one or two taps on the screen. Although people are now following me, I've never once been told what they're listening too...

Kind of odd reason to stop using it I would say...

I just want a simple radio app, I don't like the new social media style UI and it's too bright at night.

I'm just interested to know if there is an alternative app which is just an internet radio player, and not a social media platform. From an initial look there isn't really anything comparable so i'll probably stick with TuneIn (although with a TuneIn account rather than linking to my Google account).

Anyone started getting lock screen notifications for facebook chats? Tried disabling it but everytime I disable it just re-enables it and can't seem to find the option in the application.

I wish spotify would add internet radio.

I paid for Nova ages ago and I like it a lot. Glad to see that its development seems to have picked up recently.
With Apex launcher I do get the choice when applying a theme (I bought the Vibe icon pack) to install individual components of that theme. With Nova you seeem to get just the choice to apply the theme or not.
Not sure of any other differences between the two and I only came back to Nova when I read about it being developed again, and the fact that I paid for it, as the Apex launcher seems really good.
It also seems that the Apex launcher has more options to set as well...?
