The lack of refresh button is surprisingly annoying, I didn't realise how much I used it!

The quickest alternative is just to tap the address bar and reload the page, but it's still more hassle than just having the actual refresh button!

I hope and think they will put it back, but clicking the address bar and refreshing that way seems quickest. Its annoying though and takes milliseconds longer

Fellas,
Need my phone to ignore notifications from a set time (say 10pm - 6am) when phone is on vibrate, but still allow calls from anyone?

Seen several Do Not Disturb apps, but they have preferred lists.
Just need phone to stop announcing new spam email/whatsapp etc in the middle of the night.

Any ideas or settings I can use?

Just use an app to turn off data between those times?

Can't suggest an app as I can do it with Moto Smart Actions which I've had for years. Tasker could do it in an overly complicated manner I'm sure, maybe something like Phone Schedule?

With the last one you could change the notification tone to a silent ringtone but keep your regular ringtone which might be another way of doing it while keeping data on.

Yeah it's bit more of a tricky one as I still want the data to come through, just silently.
I swear on my old SG3 it had a blanket notification settings, so after 10pm it wouldn't notify you, but they'd still come through and be there.
Tried the Phone schedule, will see if it works, turned the notifications to silent, but my phone will be on vibrate. Not sure of ringing is a notification or not?

they should just change the tab button in chrome beta in to a reload button. you can swipe down on the address bar to get the tabs anyway, no point having the button there as well

If notifications are silent then you won't need your phone to be on vibrate only?

I think the way it works is by changing the notification sound to a silent file so you can still have your volume up for calls etc but it doesn't make a sound for a notification between those set times

on a similar note - how the heck do you get Android to be totally muted

put my Note 3 in "mute" (like on my previous Iphone 4) - when say in a waiting room at Drs etc - put a game on - and it totally ignores the setting and comes out at full pelt !

surely global mute should be global mute ?

like IOS does

like my PC does .... etc

It's not really global mute, it only mutes the ringtone and notification sounds. Media sounds is left untouched.

I remember using this app to control each volume type seperately but that was with my older Xperia phone, not sure how well it works now: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cb.volumePlus

Yeah that makes sense actually, just wasn't sure if it included the ringer aswell.

On my S4 when you adjust the volume you can adjust it for everything by pressing the cog icon when you do it and adjust each slider.

This is a bit of a tangent from the thread, but hopefully someone may know.

I have a strange problem with my Youtube app. I'm running a temasek rom and i have tried resetting and flashing to a newer firmware but no difference.

Whenever i am watching a video in landscape, if i get a notification my video pauses then shifts to portrait. So to get the video back i have to move my phone about until it goes landscape again and press play again. It often happens twice, once when the notification comes in, then again a few seconds after it is dismissed.

Its starting to grind my gears. Any ideas? is there anything like app ops i can stop youtube being associated with notifications? Something workaround like that.
