It'll be interesting to see what Martin manages with it, guy's a bloody genius when it comes to writing maps. He's been doing it for donkey's years now!
 
Don't understand the rush to bugger about with them, they just been released!!! Or just wait for Mountune official mod.
I'd also think Ford put quite a bit of effort in to tuning the exhaust noise and the pops and bangs, watch their YouTube videos... So standard is probably fine.

Yeah top guy he spent about 3 hours showing me how to map a cars ecu on a bench, a true wizard for sure and cool he was so willing to show me how it's done. He is also a good customer of OcUK as well. :)
 
Managed to have a go in this today.

It doesnt feel that much faster than the ST in all honesty as the power delivery is pretty smooth but what it does have is bags and bags and bags of grip.... The thing sticks the the road like **** to a blanket :D
 


The AMG & RS do look like incredible road handling cars for sure. :)

Do note the RS was on Michelin cups though making the track lap times a little unfair on the others as a semi-slick is going to give it a good second or so advantage there abouts.
 
Great video that. Makes me miss some of the hot hatches.

I didn't see the lap times, but I heard them say the Merc was ever so slightly quicker at the end. I'd forgotten the RS came with cups, which makes the A45 even more impressive if so.

Yes the Merc is hugely impressive it's the better car, but 10k better mmmm dunno.
 
That price difference is buying a lot though- a hand built forged engine, DSG gearbox, more performance, better quality interior, entry into the Mercedes-AMG brand.

It is very true, seeing both on paper and spec, plus from pictures and seeing them on the road and in person I'd cough up the extra 10k, the AMG seems worth it to me. :)

But if I was seriously considering these pair then the deciding factor would be the test drive and the RS would have to be better to sway me from AMG to be honest.

But no denying here that Ford have built an incredible car for sure.
