AMD's drivers suck, Mantle is proprietary, PhysX and Gsync are the bestest.

I had to check that I was in the right place for a second then :) I thought for a second I had woken up to a bad dream where I was forced to spend more than 30 seconds glancing at the Graphics forum. Lesser things have led to wars, only these wars were not handbags at 30 paces from 30 and 40 year old blokes :D

Any way of reverting to the old behaviour where the forums would get marked as read after visiting? Having to remember to hit the mark as read button (three clicks, no less) is a bit of a pain!

OK, derailers....

Good job on "fixing" this mess of a board so far, but if there was ever a proof that less is more, I think the vB to xenforo move would serve as a primary example. It's been few days, but once the novelty wore off - I have to admit - it is worse platform. Overall reading xenforo, regardless of theme (I've tried them all by now) just is harder. It's too busy. Illogical. There is no rhyme or reason to margins around text, random values for quotes, other values for main post. etc.

The forum page and thread pages are just... bizarre. The vastness of spaces between forum titles and number of posts on any modern monitor on forum pages is just baffling. The layout of nested subforums is literally non existent. They will have to be made into regular subforums, or they will be overlooked and forgotten.
I don't know why anyone would design thread page to look the way it looks either - cram everything with users names and dates into one corner, then leave two miles of empty space, then have a small slit with random oneliner on the opposite site.

But worse yet - posting is now about twice harder than it used to be. Quick post window annoyingly resize dynamically but cannot be preset to a size, while edit window floats on the top like a fracking spam flash popup covering posts you are trying to add to the quotes, rather than having them neatly listed below as before. Multi+/quote buttons and their pairing with a randomly positioned "add muti quote to the quote you already quoted" circular idiocy and then yet another spam popup with click for "yes I want to add quotes to the quotes I'm quoting" is disheartening every time.
Weirdly - and I didn't think it would be the case - posting with colors in members market using the new smart xenforo thang is harder than doing it by hand with vB. The results of using dynamic editor are highly unpredictable by default - it continues to write in bold fonts after color fonts and other malarky, but (sigh) - that's the engine - and it's here to stay. Why don't you use BB code editor instead of the dynamic editor if you prefer manual edit - I hear you ask. Well, first - it's still unfinished and unskinned (it's a yellow slit with small font) and you can't switch to it permanently - ie. your setting is not remembered.

I'm not sure if xenforo understands what bulletin boards are for - it's just so much mouse work and mileage for the simplest of things, it almost makes me dread posting anything at all.

You are always welcome to not read the forums ;)

I do agree with v0n entirely, but I like these boards too much to up and leave, so I'll put up with it.

Hopefully some of the wasted space issues and things with the editor will be remedied.

I'll add styling the bb editor to the to-do list - but if you go to your account page (click on your name in the top bar - the small name, not the name in the popup), select preferences from the side and untick "use rich text editor" - save changes at the bottom and it will always use the bb code editor.

The other thing I used to do on the old board, was easily drill straight into threads I had posted in. I did this by clicking once on my username top right to go into my profile, then I'm pretty sure either straight away on the profile page, or switching to a tab, you had a link called "find posts" or something like that. So it was 2 or 3 clicks.
I can't see a way of doing that other than clicking on search and typing in your username into the posted by box, which is longer.

EDIT: Seen it! It's now called "Your content" and is only 2 clicks! Once to click your profile name, and then click it right there.
