*** NEW Fractal Design Case - Coming Soon ***

@Meridiusuk, again, MUX-120 is 160mm high, so yes, it will fit in the case.

Btw here is mine. I know it is a bit empty, it's a fileserver :)

Hi,

Still not decided on which power supply to use with this case

Was going for the Corsair HX 850W ATX Modular, but as I said in a previous post the Fractal Design said that this was too long to use the lower fan position. As people have said, this is probably not going to be used anyhow, but now I'm wondering if the lower PS fan position will still be ok for this Corsair PS?

Or should I just get a Fractal Design PS :D Only downside is its a bit of an 'unknown entity' - not many reviews out for it. I see some people in this thread have gone for the Fractal Design PS's, any opinions on them? :)

Thanks guys.

Go for the Fractal PSU... It'll look ace inside the case. They're charging enough for it, and I doubt OCUK would stock naff parts.

so will the corsair 550w and 600w models fit these cases with the right fan postion ? or is it just the bigger versions thta have this problem and if so what versions will go ?

I'm guessing the Corsair PS's that have a length less than 170mm should be fine, but to be honest I'm not 100%.
I have seen some R2 reviews using the even longer Corsair 850W Modular though:

(from this review - http://tweakers.net/reviews/1421/4/fractal-design-define-r2-minder-is-meer-interieur.html )

I finally decided on a Fractal Design PS :) Has more wattage than I'll probably require, read a good review of it, comes with a 5 year warranty...

Which cpu cooler would be best for overclocking a i7 inside this case?

Corsair H50 or Prolimatech Megahalems?

Advice appreciated as I need to pre-order soon.

I was going for the thermalright hs to but I have now decided to go for the Megahalems as thay are better built and better at cooling , I to would like to know if this would fit with a 2 fan push pull system.

Is it realy going to take to the end of December to get these.

Thanks

begging of december but the way people bougth them the first time i think they are gona try hard to get them erlier and also get more in cus there wasnt enough to go round last time really lol

and the rest of my parts for my build came yday so i can properly finish it yay:)

It's taking me ages to get the right parts I need. One more question has anyone got 2 7200rpm hard drives in this case and can you hear them at all from about 3 foot away ?

Just trying to build a silent system thanks

I've got 3 and no, the HDD dampening this case is a brilliant old design I first saw in an Antec believe it or not, they managed to go backwards. The sound proofing on all sides also reduces the click a lot.

About to pre-order a black one and gonna have the following fan arrangement: 2x120 in front (supplied), 1x120 rear, 1x140 top.
Which are the quietest fans to get? Sharkoon 1000s, 2000s or the Fractals or any others?

And why does all the quality stuff seem to be out of stock on OcUK :\

I believe this case comes with a PCI controller for 3 fans. However, the fan comparison is actually pretty obvious lol..

Fractal Design 120mm

- Fan Speed: 1000 RPM
- Noise Level: 15 dBA
- Air Flow: 38.3 CFM

Sharkoon Silent Eagle 1000 120mm
- Fan speed: 1000 RPM
- Noise Level: 19.0 dBA
- Air Flow: 36.8 CFM

Any ETA for the 120mm Fractal fans??

I am getting some slipstreams for the case fans as there are a lot of exellent reviews for these, very quiet and very good at moving air and good motors. I am also getting the gentle typoon 1450rpm for my heatsink CPU also highly recomendad for cooling to noise ratio.

Tell me about it a whole new system in my basket and half the stuff is out of stock and this is 2 weeks on and still waiting.

Do overclockers price match if they do how as I can get the same systeam for £80 less ?
