New Gmail??!?!?!?!?!

What the hell have they done to it.

New tabs called Primary, Social, Promotions, Forums etc.

My Nexus 4 told me I have an email, I have a 1 mail notification but when I go in to the gmail app it tells me there are no emails there !!

Awful !!

sorts out the rubbish from the important emails

It's not awful. Once you figure out how it works it's quite useful at organising things

It's sorting your emails into categories, quite useful really.

primary is the same as before the other 2 tabs just filter the messages to only show social or advert/newsletter crap

But I don't want my emails sorting cos 99% of the time they are redundant and need deleting, now I have to go in to tabs to go and delete emails.

Why can't they just keep everything in the Inbox and let me set my own rules.

Yep the new Gmail looks good so far, a lot easier once you get use to it

I've had mine for a while, though my wife's recently updated. It's done the organisation I so desperately needed to do for me. Much better.

I thought it was rubbish at first but it's actually really good at separating email newsletters and 'junk' from the genuine correspondence.

Why aren't the tabs locked?
You have to scroll to the top of your emails to click on the tabs each time.
