New GMMK Pro - mechanical keyboard

update on the black ANSI

"We have had an updated ETA for this order and we hope to receive it by the end of week commencing 09/08/21."

Ordered direct from Glorious yesterday and not been despatched yet. Fingers crossed it is despatched soon. Ordered new keycaps and will now be looking at artisanal keycaps to give a bit of flair.

Just had this email come through for the black ANSI GMMK Pro.
The store page still says ETA of August 6th but it seems more likely that it will be the week after.

If you wish to cancel or amend your order please call sales or raise a webnote.
Thanks for your patience."

Up and running after delivery this morning! The difference is night and day between this and my old Durgod K320 TKL with Cherry Browns. So heavy and build quality is really good.

Switches are Keebwerk Tacit V1s
Keycaps are GMK Nightrunner with WASD Keyboard blank modifiers, turns out I'm missing a couple, so I've had to order those this morning, the purple will be gone!

If anyone else has finished theirs would be interested to see people's builds!

And here you go. This is what I'm going to be using for now.. I have a number of changes I will be doing later in the year. Current specs are..

Zaku Linear Switches (63.5g Double Spring - Extended Pole - Manu'd by Tecsee) - Lubed with Krytox 205g0 + 105 on the springs.
Infinikey Blacklight Keycaps
Durock V2 Stabs tuned with just dialectric grease on the wire + 205g0 on the housings.

OK i dunno about anyone else, but my GMMK pro stabilisers were wayyyy overlubed. The space, enter and backspace keys were sluggish and even sticking down when pressed. I had to open up the keyboard and take all the lube off the stabilisers and remove the weird pad things, and now finally it feels normal!

Looks like they had a lot of complaints because they even made a how to guide to do it:

I completely swapped the stock ones out with some Durock V2s I had kicking around spare. Was surprised at how much lube they managed to get OUTSIDE of the stabilisers rather than you know, inside of them as it should be. It was like they had just dunked them in vaseline.

Anyone got any strong opinions on the stabs issue? I am happy to remove and clean but just as happy to replace with better stabs if folks recommendations are strong enough. H

The stabs on mine and my friend's were also so overlubed they stuck down. Lube all over the place. He cleaned his and they work. I had already ordered Everglides so filed the plate for them to fit, but left the little rubber tab things (should they be removed for and reason?). Only issue is I didn't get the filing perfectly even so the stab housings don't sit absolutely vertically, and, not sure if related, there's an issue with the space-bar now where it rocks/twists slightly before depressing the switch.

I put the stock ones in a numpad I've got as well to give them a test out post clean and added my own lube to them. Honestly they're more than passible after they've been given a good cleaning. Out of the box mine were just a sticky mess, I swear more lube was outside of the stab than inside.
