New GMMK Pro - mechanical keyboard

My white ISO is finally on the way directly from Glorious who were good enough to refund me half the postage for the delay (they did lie about them being in stock first though).

In other news my cheap GMK clone set from China to tide me over until my GB arrives from GMK (if ever), reached the UK in 4 days and have been stuck (lost) for the last 10 days by none other than Hermes...:rolleyes:

Polycarbonate Plate
Durock V2 stabs
Glorious Pandas - Krytox 205g0 & 0.125mm TX Films
GMK Metropolis clones from AliExpress
Replaced stock gaskets and removed the foam between PCB and plate.

What did you replace the stock gaskets with and do you think the poly plate is worth getting?

I like the poly plate makes it sound and feel much better, it's quite a stiff board without it. I replaced with with poron gaskets from keycult.
 
The stabilisers out of the box really are a shambles. Glad I went with the Durock V2, had to file quite a bit off the plate to make them fit.

I also replaced the stock gasket under the stabs with kbdfans gaskets, I then used strips of the spare gasket material to holee mod the stabs. After lubing and tweaking they sound really good.

Just waiting for my switches now, I ended up also ordering Garteron Ink Black and switch films. I will compare them to the Aqua Kings and make my final decision.

Keycaps will be a temporary set for now while I wait for ePbt Be The One group buy to deliver.

Tough choice that, Aqua Kings and Ink Blacks both sound fantastic
 
Even although I'm happy with my GMMK TKL I almost want to now buy a Pro seeing as its happily stocked up :cry:

But I keep trying to remind myself moving away from non-standard keycaps was the reason I got a TKL. Oh how I wish the Pro had a standard bottom row even if it meant moving the arrow keys over a bit.

When it comes to UK ISO non-standard is a bloody nightmare or a bank breaker.

Anyone know if Glorious plans to make any UK ISO keycaps for the Pro?

Yeah it'll be like for that about 4-5 days, don't worry it's normal. Refer to my post a bit further up about my experience with ordering direct.

Mine was on close bag for 4 days then the next tracking update it was in the UK and was at my door the following day.

Is that a Gloriouscabel coil or another? I've ordered one off Loopy Looms, but yours looks nice also.

Mine updated to that today, I'd probably expect it to arrive about 4/5 working days after that based on previous experience.

The Aqua Kings arrived today, I compared to a lubed Ink Black and Tealios V2 lubed and filmed, the lube job isn't quite perfect on the Aquas, but smoothness is still very close, the best thing is the stem wobble, or lack of it, even beating the filmed Tealios. Once the Ink blacks arrive I'll try lubing and filming some to compare more.

The Holee mod has made my stabs a little slow, I hope they break in but it could take some time and they sound good.

Also waiting on the D65 gaskets and the polycarb plate to finish it off with the last bit of flex.
