New Graphics Card Perhaps?

Think I've found the issue.

If you read through the full thread the guy has the same model as mine with the same problem. He believes it's the fact it's a PCI 3.0 card and the system only supports 2.0. Because the systems over 3 years old HP aren't going to update the BIOS to support 3.0. Even though the card says it's backwards compatible. Apparently changing the card to a sapphire HD6670 worked. My question is whether a card of that quality is similar to the 750ti? Looks like I may be returning my 750ti and either exchanging for something else or making do with my old GT545.

i doubt thats the issue, they are backwards compatible it shouldn't make any difference. my mobo only supports pcie 2 and this gfx card im using is pcie 3. the real world difference between using a card in a pcie 3 slot or 2 slot is like nothing

So what am I be able to do? I can't access the uefi bios. I don't know what else I can do. Given up for this evening, so I'll try again tomorrow. Any more suggestions? Would I be able to take my system anywhere and get some support?

Thinking of sending it back, either exchanging it or making do. I've run out of ideas. Will admit. Delivery through overclockers was fantastic. On time and prompt, just hope their returns are as easy.

Where in the UK are you?

More than willing to talk it through over the phone with you. Just drop me an email in trust.

Are you able to get on Skype? If so that would be best. At work till about 6pm but more than happy to talk you through when I get home.

I Could possibly get it up on my phone or iPad, but it'd be around 10PM, this evening. Don't know if that's too late or not for yourself. Tomorrow may be better if that's too late. If you're free any time before 6, I start work then.

Don't send it back, we can help you get this to work. Let me find out for you where the secure boot option is. They hide it well because they don't like you doing it.

That's the PCU mate, once again. Big thanks for the help. Wouldn't have a clue what I was doing otherwise. Cheers
