New Hitman game

Wow Sapienza is beautiful. And big too! Wonderful attention to detail. Haven't even started the mission yet, still wandering around, exploring, it's massive and gorgeous.

An excellent tribute to the Amalfi coast, one of my favourite places on earth. This looks really good. I will be spending a lot of happy time here.
 
No one else having this refresh rate issue then since the update? If I run full screen exclusive it sets my monitor (acer x34 superwide) to 50hz. No way to change it, even using the registry hack refresh rate tweak.
I know it's a slow paced game, but I'm not playing it at 50hz!

50Hz isn't actually that bad really...

But no, I'm not having the issue with Titan X's on Nvidia Driver 364.96 using Windows 10

Have you tried both DX11 and DX12?

Or

Have you tried selecting 'Exclusive Fullscreen' Once you are in the game?

No other games having issues? Updated your drivers?

Running v similar to you, SLI 980Ti's with latest hot fix drivers. Tried dx11 and 12. No other games having this issue. Not tried changing to exclusive full screen in game yet

I haven't even scratched the surface yet. With Paris, even though it was fairly big you could see quite a lot of ways to do it within a few runs.

But this is so mammoth. I was trying to do a suit only run last night but there's an issue I'm having

I've worked out there is a Stalactite above the DNA virus/sample that you can shoot, which destroys it, but there only seems to be one place in the underground lab/cave that you can shoot it from and nearby enemies always see me, even though I am pretty much hidden when I fire and I'm using a silenced hand-gun.

The second option is to use a red laptop to destroy it. To do this you need to get the dongle off the scientist who goes to the morgue, but everytime I subdue her, it says 'A crime has been noticed' even though there's nobody nearby or any cameras on me....and nobody seems to come over to investigate when it's done

I'd rather not start again as it's not the easiest run!

Replying to myself, but this is really annoying me now. Tried EVERYTHING. The latest updates must have borked it.

No matter what I do, if i run in "fullscreen exclusive mode" it defaults the refresh rate to the lowest possible, which for my monitor (Acer x34) is 50Hz. For most monitors this will be 60Hz. The x34 goes from 50-100Hz, so I'm concluding it defaults to the lowest possible Hz.

If I don't run in "fullscreen exclusive mode" it's just not smooth at all, really juddery, and Gsync has no effect.

Sigh....yet another new big game that simply does not work properly.

What are developers smoking these days, they can't even get the very basics right :mad: I mean, why not simply put a refresh rate option in the setup menu? It's 2016 for christ's sake. Some clever soul then finds a registry hack that allows us to fix the problem ourselves, and then they release a patch that prevents this fix from working anymore. Are they trying to **** us off?!?

Yes, I read somewhere that the developers said that Showstopper was basically like a big Swiss cheese with loads of ways in and out – makes sense to have something like that for the first mission, although I still didn’t find one of the routes until well in (trying not to watch any videos etc. so I can discover all the different layers of exposition for myself).

Sapienza feels like a different world already, although I too have barely scratched the surface yet. Just wandering the streets feels like being back in Positano or Amalfi. My wife walked in last night and took one look at the little harbour and said it looked like Atrani (a beautiful little town near Amalfi that we found last year). It is a glorious recreation of such a beautiful place. Down by the water is stunning, really pretty. I just had to push a fisherman into the sea :)

Yea i used this method to do my SA/suit only run.You sure the priest didnt hear you subdue her? he comes in and out the room next door with the empty coffin in the center.

Morgue spawn is defiantly the best spawn overall for this level,easy access to lab disguise/keycard and the dongle ofcourse at the start.You can also just walk into cave if you take the spawn at the ruins and find the lower path round the cliffs. Just make sure you use the Blood Money Requiem suit :D


Also a bit annoyed you cant do a suit only run manually destroying the virus,i spent ages trying to figure it out ,theres a fire alarm that empty's the containment unit,but it is impossible to sneak into the lab itself in just the suit :(

The game will not even load for me in DX12 since the latest update. I am using 16.4.2 AMD drivers and Fury.

Anyone else seeing this problem?
 
Done it yesterday will only the gas can knocking them all out lol

Still don't like the u can only kill targets and not lose any points surely all there soldiers /bodyguards are bad I want to kill them all and get points lol
And yes there are real "hitmen" that would wipe whole room out and not leave any person alive ;)

Why does being a soldier or bodyguard make you bad?

'There is but one path . . . we kill them all'.

Isn't there a ventilation system you can turn on so you don't have to wear the Hazmat dusguise?
