Yea, I don't use anything which is quad optimised and the 3.6Ghz seems more than up to multitasking. So the E8400 would be a new toy to muck about with. Looks like that one will be under £150 also.
So in theory if you got a good chip you could run one of these wolfdales at 4500MHz (9x500)?
Would be a nice speed to aim for,gonna get a E8500 and hope to get atleast 9.5x450 out of it.
What cash £££ value would you place on having that extra x0.5 multi?
If the E8400 cost £150 what would you be prepared to pay for an E8500?

Will P35 chipsets be capable of noticing half multi's? or will there need to be a BIOS update?

Ugh, every bios update for this board has compromised my stability Since F4 (now onto F9).

.i bet that extra x0.5 multi will set you back around an extra £40 to £60 mark.
