New iPod??

Yeah...course it is....it's completely rubbish, dunno why they bothered to be honest

I agree with you phate;) Seriously - its basically a cut down iphone -why bother getting this and not wait a few weeks for a subsidised uk iphone? Also you will have less gadgets to carry around. As far as I am concered the itouch as it stands is pretty useless.

if you're going to have a contract phone... and want a touch, surely getting an iphone is killing two birds with one stone, and saving money?

Some of our contracts A: Aren't with O2 and B: aren't for renewal until March.

and some of us are in dire need for a new iPod :p and to watch tv shows on the train to work rather than staring at the minger on the other side lol.

I don't want to wait until March to find out T-Mobile won't be supplying the iPhone, and like hell I'm switching to O2 the coverage is just to bad in my area.

Plus I'm always carrying my iPod around with me anyway.

not working for me either!!

recon I can get education discount tonight on a classic?

Why are you bothering with a classic? What does it have over the older ipods? They have pretty much exactly the same features - there is almost no reason to upgrade, other than the bigger HD. Personally I might get a 5.5g ipod and take advantage of the price drop - seems the most sensible option.

iMod 5.5 if anything, no lineout on the 6s.

I agree with you if it was 80gb! If I am carrying a phone, then I dont want to carry an ipod that has only 8-16gb of music/vidoes - whats the point? Its too damn small. Might as well just load up my N95 with 4gb (8gb microsd out in a few months too) videos/music as 8-16gb wont carry all of my music anyway. So the ipod touch is pretty lame for me and lots of other people. But if you dont have abig collection I can see why you'd be happy with it I guess.:)

Currently have a 3G, would love a nano but need the space, 80Gb classic is logical choice IMO

My coillection is 23gb but my 3G 20gb is never full as I'm very selective on what I carry around. it's got 9gb on it at the moment.

So that leaves me 7gb for movies/tv :)

Good enough for me :D

I wonder how many hits the apple site is currently getting?

I cant be bothered to think what I want on my mp3 player, because my mood for music changes so much its hard to choose what you want. Ah well - the dream is over :p
