I for one will be getting an ITouch.
What is it with people and all in ones.
The most likely thing for me, is to lose the iPhone and then be left without a phone or an Ipod. (or get nicked!)
And what if you want to get away, can you even switch off the phone function on an Ipod (not relevent for me but I know many will feel that way).
16GB is fine for me, perhaps a little limiting if I want to put Video on there, but I'm only really going to watch to watch footy highlights or News pods on their anyhow. (but really if possible iTouch and iPhone should include two SD card slots or similar)
The ITouch IMO is exactly what many of us want, we like the idea it has wifi so we can sit the garden listen to some music and still surf if we want. But the added phone stuff is great but most of just are happy carrying a phone about too. IMO the iPhone is a bit like the old days when we had Psion 3C's and such and they gradually started to make them into palm-laps (series 7 may as well have been a laptop). People often dont want a mixed devices just ones that work for their purpose.
They really should do a "professional version" of either the iPhone or iTouch which makes it into a PDA as well. That screen would be perfect for viewing powerpoints or PDF's, agendas, diary, email etc... Apple are storming at the moment, though I dont like the fatno one bit (I'll be keeping my nano as a back up).
I honestly think back in 95 if some one showed me the new iPhone and iTouch I would have fallen off my seat! It looks stunning is powered by the worlds best OS, and it's just the ergonomics of the thing too! just great!
