** NEW LG MONITORS - INCLUDING 2 EXCLUSIVE TO OCUK!!! **

I've had shipping confirmation. DPD next day delivery so should be getting it tomorrow.

Also my 3900x has been brought forward and receiving it tomorrow also. Happy days.

WOAH, this thread has gone crazy!

First I'd like to apologise on behalf of OCUK and LG for anyone whose expectations haven't been met, and we will always try to learn and improve to deliver the best customer service possible.

Then I'd like to remind everyone to be courteous on our forums, that we are all trying our best, for you guys and that we try to keep you as informed as we can. That includes @Alice Gibbs from LG, as well as OCUK staff.

In this instance there was a delay in transit to the EU, and at the UK distributor, which meant the ETA given initially wasn't met. I can assure you that at every stage LG and OCUK tried to speed things up as much as we could.

The first tranche of stock has now been shipped and I hope all the early pre-order guys really enjoy this monitor and it lives up to the hype! Please let us know your feedback!

I don't know why the first quantity of stock into the UK/EU was so small. I can only imagine they had to satisfy all territories with what they could produce in their initial run. The availability of the panel, I'd hope, should pick up moving forward. We have hundreds more on back order with LG.

Everyone else currently with a pre-order, I'll find out an update when I get back from annual leave next week (camping in N. Wales with the wife and kids... :( ), and post here as to the ETA of the next load of stock in to the UK.

That is unless @Alice Gibbs beats me to it! :)

Bu, tbh, ordering something that is marked as "pre-order" could be construed as you agreeing with Overclockers to an open-ended wait for the product.
Yup.

The 30 day maximum can be displaced by an agreement between the trader and consumer for delivery at a different time or in a different period.

These products are marked as 'Pre-order'. If you click on pre-order, the blurb says:

New item that you can order before we receive stock. Orders will be shipped on a first come first served basis. If an ETA is available it will be displayed on hover.
If you pre-order an item, you are obviously content to wait until the item is in stock since it couldn't possibly be delivered any earlier. If you aren't content to wait, you can exercise the general right to cancel under regulation 29 (rather than the specific right to cancel for failing to deliver goods under regulation 42, which isn't applicable).

No real rush but I was pleasantly surprised to see the order dispatched email earlier today. I've never owned a proper gaming monitor and this model is replacing a 40" Samsung 4k tv with 'gaming' mode. I'm used to 60Hz so I'm hoping for a noticeable improvement!

Quick first impressions: Initially I was really shocked, it looked worse than my old TN panel in some ways on the desktop, but then I remembered it was probably just Windows 10's handling of wide gamut displays. Fortunately I was right, after loading up a game it really does look great, I couldn't notice blur (compared to my 2411z) or overshoot on the "fast" OD setting, and as early reviews suggest the "faster" setting is unusable.

I'm excited to see how it fairs after a calibrated colour profile, so hopefully variance between panel to panel is close enough that using one from tftcentral will be good enough.

There is a little IPS glow in the corners, but I can't notice it in games or just using it, and I do expect it to get better after some use.

edit: blb -> IPS glow
