New Lian- Li PC-A10B

Thats good to see. I was only assuming what the guy above me posted was correct. :p

Now can you prove to me that i'm wrong about the psu airflow situation? Would be really good if you could ;)

Edit: Is there a 2nd 120mm fan in the middle of the bottom section?

Yep..good to see. Just heard no mention in the reviews of the blanking plate. And looking at where the psu goes, surely you can just unscrew the psu plate and reverse it so the psu fan is attached facing inwards.

The middle of the bottom section is for another hard drive I believe.

Assumption of course being the mother of all....:D

Now, at this point I'd like to point something out:

Lian Li aren't complete mugs.

By that, I mean that they have been in this game now for quite a while - they must have considered the airflow to a PSU placed there. The gap is bloody small though. Small enough to cause cooling issues? Simple answer - I'm not sure.

Ah. Think you may have something there. For both PSUs to be in the case, they'd need the fans both facing outward to have any air to them at all. For a single PSU rig, you may be able to reverse the orientation of that backplate so the fan isn't obstructed at all.

Hmmmm. Will have to start badgering people to find out if that is the case (heh, I love puns....)

The psu mounting plate is one piece, not two and i don't think its square so you can only turn it upside down not sideways which still leaves one or both psus if you have two facing outwards.

And it still seems very unlike Lian-Li to have such restricted airflow even if it isn't a problem with one psu.

I guess we will wait for some people to buy it and see. Although I am tempted. One place I know told me they definitely will have stock in the 1st week Nov.

Not sure where people are getting this "no blanking plate" idea from....

Sure looks blanked to me! :)

That must be a made up picture... the holes don't match

Would you be able to drop me a quick email if you have a moment;) Email in trust.

Hmm i see what you mean about the holes...
Could be clips of some sort?

Agreed....which is why I don't think the cooling is as restricted as you think. At least one US-based review site has stuck two PSUs in an A10 and they were fine.

Which holes don't match? And anyway - the pic I quoted was from NewEgg, who are selling the case. The other pic is from The Review Site That Must Not Be Named, and could have been pre-production.

Still, which holes should I be looking at that don't match?

***edit***

Think I see what you mean....still can put it down to pre-production versus production possibly.

Took me a moment to figure out which holes he meant. Look closely at the blanking plate, the holes don't line up with the psu mount holes, neither the inner ones nor the outer ones...

Yeah, I eventually twigged :) Will go hunting for a better shot of the back w/ blank plate in place.

Looking at the newegg pic gallery of it, what is this?

Wrong case? Some undiscovered new Lian li?

Edit: And this pic shows the wierd screw problem better:

Just the top-front of the case, they've chopped the photo off quite a way up.

Yeah, that shot of the back does throw up some questions.

Ahh i see. :o

Edit: Are they likely to produce a windowed side panel for this in future? Do Lian-Li normally do this and have they done it before?

Black vs silver its a tough one...

Just to confuse things even further....

Note how there seems to be some kind of blank in place from that shot - I can't tell if they've photoshopped it or not.

There must be a blank plate with it - not everyone who buys this case will have a dual PSU setup, and Lian Li won't just leave a dirty great hole in the back. But those NE photos don't really show enough to be sure of what is going on.

Window? Doubt it for this case. Doesn't fit the whole fridge look :)

A picture same angle as above with a psu installed would be really good. It would show exactly how much airflow room there really is.

I reckon we can trust Lian-Li to have made a working blanking plate, and if not i'd have no trouble producing one...

But they left a dirty big hole in the back of the G70 ?

Still not on sale :(

I really do think that it comes with a big hole in the back...I might email Lian Li.

Hope you have more luck with them than I did.....no response to the couple of e-mails I sent out.

Still no sign of it on OcUK.... Its starting to appear in stock in other websites :(

Any one got one yet? :)

No email back from Lian Li about the psu hole...

Black or silver...I am still leaning towards black.
