Looks like the high street is being hammered by the online market. Not surprising really, with the difference in overheads required.
Why do some of these people work there for literally decades? Do they not realise that management couldn't give a **** about them? They are just numbers on a sheet inside an outdated accountancy program.
Theres a good reason why they usually get told they're fired by the News rather than their boss.

Probably a high staff enough turn over and other stores nearby to accommodate within the group.
Every urban area near here has about 5-9 CPW stores including a couple in a pc world within a 3-6 mile radius. Plus typically 2-3 currys / pc world.
