New Moon

Think you should all go see it!!
:( please ...you know not what you type.

I'm just getting over the worst stomach bug I've had since I was a child, yet I would rather subject myself to another full day of its toilet bound misery, than spend a few hours in the cinema surrounded by screaming teenage girls all getting off on that hairy toff's bonnet.

It basically sounds like a recycled version of the Buffy/Angel relationship in the first three seasons of Buffy but with added emo...

But yeah, I refuse to read or watch Twilight, sounds like utter ****

Cinema was CRAZY!! Massive queue to get in, cheers as everyone was walking in, no seats free, everyone clapped when Edward first came into the film, gasps and mmm's every time edward/jacob had their tops off!
Tooooo much!!!

Edwards body is hot hot hot, how can you say that? It's pretty hairless too so Im not sure what you saw? Jacob....gotta be said, that guy is looking damn fine in this film, espesh compared to Twilight - wow wow wow!
Love it!

Interesting how you've not mentioned how good the the film was, just how hot Edward and Jacob are.

For 99% of the people there you could have probably stood them up on a stage for 90 minutes and got the same reaction.

Just goes to show how bad the film actually is..

I don't understand why people are coming into this thread, trashing the subject and slating it when they haven't even read the books/seen either of the two films. Fair enough it may not be to your taste but no need to go overboard surely? :(

Ummm this is the internet. Why let a lack of actual experience get in the way of a good slagging off?

To keep on topic, I watched the first film on Sky last weekend and whilst it wasn't anywhere near as bad I was expecting it to be, I shall never bother again and am not interested in the sequel.

did they draw a six pack on him again like the last film?
you know he doesnt really have any muscles right? google if you dont believe me:rolleyes:

I never thought I'd hate a franchise more than Harry Potter but this has managed it.

I'm a massive Harry Potter fan, but dislike the films ( I wrote about how they should have filmed the most recent :D)

The books are alright, nothing special.
The first film was better then expected, but still nothing outstanding.
This is again, another massivly over rated film, but will make a tonne of money due to their target audiance, teenage "emo" girls.

Also, WTF have they done to vampires in recent times.

Err....dressed up in glitter like he is glittery!! Was going to wear cape and fangs but bottled it last minute!!

Not really. Go read the Transformers 2 thread and see how many people are fapping over Megan Fox (not that I'm disagreeing with them) to justify the movie but to then suggest that the same justifications can't be applied to New Moon is a little off.

Went last night. I'm 25 and I was literally the oldest person in the theatre.

This.

I mean, I can understand the financial reasons for what they've done. Although lets face it, the average teen female will stick posters of just about any male "celebrity" over the age of 16 and under the age of 30 all over their walls, proclaim loudly how much they "love" them and how sexy and fit they are and swoon at their every appearance on the small or big screen. Right up until the moment they get married or their band splits up, at which point the teen girl dives into a pit of depression, have to have special "help"lines set up for them to phone into and make distraut wailing noises, finally hanging themselves from the nearest tree in an ultimate show of eternal love for their untouchable celebrity "love".

Even so though...things have become a little too cutesy and romantic lately for several types of supernatural creature who traditionally would rather rip your carcass to shreds than fall head over heals in love with you.

Hopefully we will see some more visceral examples of vampyrehood soon on the screen.

See this is what annoys me, women think a film is amazing if it has a fit guy in? Way to rate a film. Just go and buy a porno or something.

My missus loves these films, yet more of this silly girly "oh its amazing" tripe. YAWN.

daybreakers is probably the next vampire film due for release but the vampires dont seem to be truly evil ones.

i guess 30days of night or whatever that alaskan vampire one was called in more true to how real vampires in a modern world would be

Wait...what?!?!

Have you been watching a completely different film to everyone else?!?

I think the Underworld movies were the last proper vampire movies (I think the original especially got across the decadence of Vampire society really well) before all this "emo" crap came into play. Although I suppose they were basically a love story at its heart as well.

I have to admit though to reading the Twilight books and actually thinking that Twilight wasn't too bad as a movie. Haven't seen New Moon as of yet, but have read the book.

I also have to admit to being brought up on all of the Hammer Horror Dracula movies as well. I still love them :D
