New Moon

I don't mind stories with a Vampire with a heart as long as its done reasonably well. The problem is that it has been done so many times before on TV and in Cinema before the Twilight saga, that it's getting a little stayed.

Blade 1 & 2 were good imo!

He should have turned up at the end of Twilight and just kicked the **** out of all the "emopires".

I'd say in terms of vampire films, Blade + 30 Days of Night is up there with some of the classic vampire films.

I only watched Underworld of Kate B :)

Not really. Go read the Transformers 2 thread and see how many people are fapping over Megan Fox (not that I'm disagreeing with them) to justify the movie but to then suggest that the same justifications can't be applied to New Moon is a little off.

I didn't say liking the film just because the actors are 'fit' was exclusive to the Twilight series. Nor does it disprove what I've said in my post.

I went to see this yesterday with my 12yr old and 15yr old daughters and some of their mates. It's not very good at all but it has the romance factor and girls love it.

I think me and my friend are going to see it on Wednesday. I think it's wrecked the vampire lore but for some reason I love the books. The first movie was alright, but the books are so much better.
I can relate to Bella and I think I was in love with Edward reading it! Even though, it was quite badly written I couldn't help it. I really hate Jacob, though!

Honest opinion from a 24 year old guy. Saw the first film ages ago but surprisingly liked it, not sure why :p mainly Kristen Stewart.

Anyway, read New Moon - Breaking Dawn over the summer as I had pneumonia so couldn't really do anything. Needless to say I am more excited to see this than most of my mates.

Saw it last night, 7/10. First hour or so I found a bit slow but once the werewolve stuff starts picking up midway really thought it wasn't too bad. Some of the acting (mainly from the wolfpack) was pretty bad but I think they did the werewolves really well, CGI/animation wise and must admit for anyone who has read the books Jacob in the movie really isn't physically accurate but the actor playing him did much better than I expected.

So yeah, 7/10, from a 24 year old straight bloke who has read the books :p

Don't get me wrong, the majority won't like it but I thought it was very watchable.

Expect I'll be taken to see this on Wednesday as my wife loves this series. Just got to hope I don't bump into any mates at the cinema!

I had to booked a pair of tickets to watch it with the missus.
She's been banging on it for months and in doing so, I'm expecting her to do the same for Avatar for me!

Anyway, this film was a lot better than the first, the change in director helped - previous one was so One Tree Hill, I rather be at home watching Hollyoaks. Anyway, it is better than the worst don't mean it's great. The story was very shallow - even for a love story. A stupid bin playing rebound when Robo-Vampire decided it was too hard to stay. Yes, Robo-Vampire because out of all the 10 scene he was in, he's in the same facial expression, same body pose and TBH, he gives vampire a bad name.

Example of a good vampire:

Example of a crap vampire:

Also another thing to add: Glad Bella actually look remotely Human coloured. She looked anaemic in Twilight when she's supposedly some tasty bint for teenage vampire.

Going to see it, liked the first one, and im single.

Hopefully vue in plymouth have an over 18 showing, as i dont want to be sitting amongst a load of 14 year old girls.
