tbh by time they update epoch standalone will be out and epoch will be dead you should see the massive changes forget origins and epoch. vanilla and 1.7.7 is where majority will be until standalone.

* [NEW] - Bloodbags will no longer transfer 12000 blood instantly, it's now done over 12 seconds (1000 blood per second). If the medic breaks away from the transfusion animation or the recipient moves out of range, the transfer stops and the remaining amount is lost along with the bloodbag in use.

* [UPDATED] - Zeds overall dmg has been updated per hit/per zed (Old Type: Max possible dmg = body 600, Legs 100, Hands 50, Head 1200 New Type: Body 1200, Head 2400)
* [UPDATED] - Bleed from zed attacks will now only happen if the initial dmg is above 0.7 or the zed gives a head shot. (should reduce the amount of bandages needed)
* [UPDATED] - Zeds knocking players unconscious now has a 50/50 chance if damage multiplier is above > 0.8
* [UPDATED] - When unconscious all damage is reduced to 50 blood for each hit zeds do no matter the part they hit. (Should allow some survivability)
* [UPDATED] - Zeds sight and sound chance has been re-added so there is a chance they can ignore you.

* [REMOVED] - M107 and AS50(Banned) from all loot tables and removed all damage from bullets so they do 0 damage even if spawned in.
 
honestly i dont know why ?

its been literally done for a month or near enough but i think tey been waiting for rocket. i started testing that patch about 6 - 8 weeks ago and it was nigh on stable then.

cant wait for tomorrow and all the tears from the m107 , as50 nabs :D
 
I've found a really nice vanilla server where people have give quite far out of their way to help a downed player even though I don't think anyone knew each other before they joined. Some nice friendly banter and no damn snipers! It reminds me of why I really liked playing DayZ over a year ago...

I've been playing since early May when someone on OCUK found about about the mod from somewhere else. Back then you started with a Makarov with 1 mag- 11 (I think?) shots. Instead of just legging it to the nearest industrial building, you'd have the choice of opening fire and wasting one of your precious shots, and attracting every zombie in eastern europe to your position) or stealthing it. Good times.

Got to number 2 in the world and stayed there for at least 4 months, that was until the script kiddies and the general gaming population found out about Dayz!

Can still remember the first few games, adrenalin pumping constantly, people actually being friendly, night time lasting 8 hours, 2400 zeds on the server, NW airfield being the only absolute death zone, finding your first car, executing JohnnyMendoza because he had the cold, finding a fully repaired Heli, repairing your first car after 10 hours of hunting for engine parts and worst of all, being in the pitch black of night and hearing the god awful growl of a zed extremely close by and not being able to see or do a damn thing about it!

I can still remember running the full length of power lines to try and meet up with Too Tall and Melbo only to run head on into a zed 10 metres from them and screaming like a girl..

The first 3 / 4 months were certainly one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had!

I was a regular on your server as well, those were the DayZ back then that's for sure. I to used to run along powerlines lol, it was when DE4 went that I took a huge break.
 
I remember the early days aswell, great fun... We were picking up people in the bus or holding people hostage at the road side. Marker used to spend about 4hrs just transporting lol. Then the arguments kicked off, friends became enemies and DayZ became the backbone for anger on ocuk. Not just my end but others aswell, shame as at the start it was one of the best moments of online gaming :)
 
Yeah I'd follow the powerlines, I remember playing one DayZ server where a guy had put a custom face on of mike myers and I very nearly pooed myself when I ran into him at night in one of those small brown cabin type houses.
 
Agreed, DE4 were the good times. Also used the powerlines to find my way around (before dayzdb map), actually needing to use the compass and map. I remember my first venture to NW airfield, absolutely bricking it, I sat in a bush for an hour before I even thought about heading to the hangers.
