Aw man you didn't!!!!!

You should at least give it a try to be friendly before reverting to standard type Dayz players at the moment! Honestly, game is loads better when you are being friendly!
 
yeah just survived for over 2 hours and just aborted my game for the first time on MY TERMS lmao. Still not found a hachet, nor a decent weapon, nor canteen but at least I have food and drink to last a day or so hehehe. Just wish I knew where the hell I was because I've still not found the big town with the fire station/supermarket and hospital. foook knows where I am now but 3 house farms are not cutting it for me lol.

Don't do what most do and look up where you are on an on-line map when they don't know. Grizz it out and find a map, start navigating your way around using the lay of the land, electricity pylons, lakes etc. You will get a good sense of achievement when you navigate to the correct location for the first time.

Saying that, if you are truly stuck...when you spawn it says your location in the bottom right (at least it used to). Once you get a map, you will able to roughly work out where you are.
 
Had a quick spin on a public hive the other day. To my amazement my what must be ~18 month old character was still alive and kicking with an M16 and a load of other useful kit.

Sadly, seeing that zombies seem to take a lot more body shots than I remember, he lasted a grand total of 10 minutes. RIP.
 
WHY!!!!!!!! why did I bother going for the downed Heli lmao.

Was really starting to get up to speed, found some nice goodies, got matches, firewood and a hatchet. Had plenty of drinks and food. Then, saw this downed Heli and thought I'd get in and get the goodies. I spent maybe 20 minutes combing the surrounding area making sure the other players weren't in the vicinity (there were only 4 others on the server at the same time so thought it would be pretty safe. How wrong was I, got in close and someone sniped me..the gits
 
guys. I need some help pls.

Is anyone able to help me stay alive? I'm west of Elektro I think in the forest, I've contracted Sepsis but I have no antibiotics or blood. I've no damn weapons but I do have a hatchet, got some wood, and a skinning knife. I'm close to being as self sufficient as I've ever been, just need to find some matches. But I don't want to give up on this character, I've been wondering around aimlessly pretty much just trying to get my bearings a bit and it would seem such a waste of many hours to die up here.

Is anyone able to help me today? in the spirit of Xmas :)
 
my vision is blurry so I made a run for the hospital, and got foook all. No antibiotics, nothing...just a few items on the floor which were no good what so ever. So now I have a poison symbol on my blood icon, I have no food left on me apart from raw bacon (been looking for over an hour for a hatchet or firewood as I seem to have lost my wood from earlier) NOTHING NOT A DAMN THING. Its almost like the spawns know exactly what your looking for. So I guess I've had it. Cant see anything through the blur to move around.

I'm now East of Cherno in a high value industrial building with like 5 floors. Kinda stuck now. Been playing this all day, at a point now were i'm so on the edge lol.

Did you try the roof of the hospital? there is often a box up there.....if not and your going to die soon anyway then put any weps you have away (so your not a threat) and ask people you see for help, you often get people pretty kitted up poping in the hospitals to replenish their supplies

Did you have fun? If yes then its not all for nothing, wait until you have a fully kitted character and you break your leg on a glitch in the middle of nowhere, thats annoying!

I kind of envy you that this is all new and exciting and scary, I miss the feeling of elation at just finding pistol or having physical shakes after a bit of PvP :D
 
yep. Def getting better, I/m now at a position where the zombs dont bother me to much, I just bring them to a building and take them out with a crowbar/machete. I stupidly found my first canteen, and a water source (pond) my hydration level was very low and had to drink it. I was saying to myself don't drink water from the pond, you know what's going to happen. SaId to myself ah sod it and contracted some kind of disease. From then on it was a downward spiral, was playing catchup with blood loss all the time trying to find some decent medicine. Didn't happen.
