I know media hype games up, but this needs to be something massive or the VGAs will be a bigger joke than normal. Most of the games mentioned and the leaked Sony Smash bro game are not games we wont of expected or "secret" games as info has been released. I dont have a clue TBH and it must be 1st party to be kept a PS3 exclusive as most devs prefer to get as much revenue as possible. It could be unkarted though

I really hope it's completely new and fresh IP. Even if it's a post-apocalyptic scenario, with the ants being used in the video it could be some form of ophiocordyceps unilateralis that has evolved, mutated or even been bio-engineered by aliens (or shadow government) to attack humans for whatever purpose.
Or it could be Invasion of the Cordyceps or my favourite Ant Lemmings (supports 3D and Move - Sony have faith in it)...

Only problem I see is epic probably want to go back to been multi-platform with their next big IP (even with GOW success) it would be madness for them not to...

I hope it's not something by Epic, I really despise the art direction that most of their big games seem to take. 
Last 2 times there was hype of a big Sony "exclusive" release the results were the Twisted Black game (remake?) and the Sony Smash Bros type game.
Twisted Black hype was a waste of time as it was announced 1.5 years ago IIRC, far too long for people to still be excited about.
Not heard anything of the Smash Bros style game apart from the weird trailer with brief glimpses of Sony characters.
Whatever it ends up being it will be a) disappointing b) over a year away by which time people will have lost interest (i.e. Last Guardian, MGS: Rising and numerous other "big" games that were announced far too early imo).
My prediction: Crash Bandicoot, James Pond or Robocop (the zombie stuff has to be a red herring as it is so last year

But an exclusive game from a 1st party developer is about as shocking as finding sand in your crack after you've been to the beach.
While I can see a 1st party having a helping hand because they know the tech so well and we have heard nothing from them (Santa Monica, Cambridge, etc) I think if it was to match the hype that Keighley is orgasming over would need to be from a 3rd party in at least some form. If that is the case then I can't see it being a PS3 exclusive forever simply because there is money to be made from the xbox audience. I'm fully expecting whatever it is, if it really is this megaton announcement will turn up on the 360 12 months after the PS3.
Sony have already said that they don't pay for exclusive games, but they do pay for exclusive content or timing. So BF3 for example all DLC is out 1 week early. They would have given something up for that.
A lot of speculation is now that it could be Epic since they have completed the 3 game contract they had with Microsoft and have already talked about wanting to be on the PS3. They own the Gears name but they have said their game is a new IP. Who knows. Dec 10th (11th for us) will be interesting regardless.

California remains mostly un infected and declares independance. In the interim the Govt has rounded up all children under 16 and sent them to secure compounds surrounded by 20m high walls with high powered lights to come on at night (the virals don't like the light). The story picks up 1000 years later at the 3rd conference on North American quarantine as you read through the life of people come 100 years after the outbreak. So bad it was that the entire planet now refers to time in relation to when the outbreak started.
The children sent to the compund's have grown up and had their own children and none of them have ever seen the stars because the lights have been on every night since they were taken there. Lots of stuff ensues.

Microsoft would just give epic ridiculous money just to change the name to something else anyway. While Epic do own the name it is synonymous with the 360 and Microsoft would do just about anything to keep it that way.
Because that is what every game website is calling it.
