4K Maxed including 8xMSAA

What Tweaktown are using is no where near max as there are options you can turn on after selecting Ultra preset including the MSAA.



I am also concerned about why Tweaktown managed to show an 8gb 290X much faster than the 4gb version as the VRAM usage with the settings they used @4K would have been very low.

Below is the max memory used on my 980s when running much higher settings than they did.

The memory used above is hardly going to tax a 4gb 290X.

The grid scores in the review you linked look about right with the slightly higher clocked 8gb 290Xs edging out the lower clocked 4gb 295X2 by a small margin.

I really don't know what Tweaktown were up to with their bench scores.:confused:

They won't. Not until it is really need it. They happy as it is for now.
To be honest, we don't care about 8 gigs of vram yet, because we can't utilize it unless, we have more "beautiful" console "ports". AMD should focus on something else(many) urgent. Otherwise they fail in long and short therm.
If not happening, will be very terrible for us. Many tech etc will be delayed.
