Mate you spammed this in 28 threads the last two days, for multiple manufacturers. Such monitors due April-May 2018 but at £1500-2000 price tag. Enjoy.

(and yes reported you for spam)

It's already been dealt with, won't happen again my friend
Reported for spamming the monitor sub-section.

Please see above - though i'd still like to extend an apology

He spammed a lot of thread with one line nonsense and it was dealt with AFAIK.

Anyone seen a 32" 1440p vs a 27" 1440p in the flesh, I know I can work out the DPI/PPI and it will be better on the eyes due to Windows poor scaling needed on some things on a 27" 1440p but will it be too blocky like 27" 1080p?

Same question again for 32" 4K, thanks.
You won't need windows scaling on a 27" at 2560 x 1440, it's perfectly usable. So only difference is stretching it over a slightly larger screen for the 31.5" model. I've got the C32HG70 with me for testing at the moment (review should be online at TFTcentral next week). Personally I think text is fine on that model, it doesn't look too big or blocky and is still nice and clear. Some ppl may even prefer it depending on their eye sight, and if you sit a bit further back for things like console gaming, movies etc it may be a better option. The added screen size also helps in those areas

I have normal 20/20 or better eyesight (test 2 months ago) but 27" 1440p was hard on some things back when Rog Swift (POS) TN launched so that would be Win 8/8.1 AFAIR and scaling was horrid and MS have not sorted it in Win 10 even though they said it would be better.

I just wonder if 1440p would be blocky on a 32" and how would 4K on a 32" look compared to a 27" 1440p.

2560x1440 at 32" has same scaling as 1920x1080 at 24".
Which imho is the optimal screensize and res.

4K 32" compared to 2560x1440 @ 27" basically you grow x1.5 the resolution but only x1.18 the screensize. Which makes everything smaller.
Hence you find many saying that 40-43" 4K monitor feels more natural than 32".

If you found 2560 x 1440 on a 27" a bit small back then, maybe the slightly bigger font size of stretching that res on to a 31.5" would be well suited to you. If you have 4K or Ultra HD res on a screen this size, you need to use windows scaling for sure, otherwise everythign is tiny. then you can run in to added complications with windows, software etc and how they handle scaling

This was my worry too.
I have the CHG70 32’ and after going up from 27’ 1440p I can say that it’s not blocky at all at that res.

Do we know if samsung plan to do a 35" super widescreen version? 49 is too big but love everything else about it (curved, 144hz, freesync, hdr!!)

Samsung as a panel manufacturer don't manufacturer any SVA panels in the 35" size range, only AU Optronics do, so i would expect it's unlikely for Samsung as a monitor manufacturer to use those panels as they are not from their own company. They do have some other larger panels planned in roadmaps which may emerge at some point in a monitor

40" 16:9 aspect with 1920 x 1080
41" 32:9 aspect with 3840 x 1080
43.4" 29:9 aspect ratio with 3840 x 1200

i expect the 43.4" will be the first to appear but probably not until Q2 2018

Thanks for this! Got a new racing setup and max monitor size I can go with is 35 ish. Anything over would make walkway too narrow and overhang from monitor stand! Have to see what happens with these super duper asus/acer offerings (200hz gysnc hdr beasts) but hearing they've been delayed :(

How's the monitor? have you tried to run the ufo to see any trailing etc?

Sorry. What do you mean by ufo?. Am I misreading something.

I think the monitor is great.
Minimal backlight bleed.
Still trying to find best refresh settings-atm I’m just using free sync at 120hz.
There’s been at least 3 firmware updates via usb since I purchased the monitor so it shows that Samsung are trying to iron out teething problems.
I can’t fault it really.
At first it wasn’t showing bios or post but after spamming the del button on bootit adjusts res to suit and displays bios.
After moving from a Samsung 27’ ips 1440p panel to VA the colours are more vivid which I thought would not be the case.

@Baddass when will your Review be released?.
Obviously I already have the panel but it’s always nice to hear what you have to say in your very in-depth findings. I did purchase my last monitor based on your review (Samsung S27B970D), not sure if you remember the drama but the stock delay at OCuk seemed to go on and on. The long and short of it was I ended purchasing it from a German etailer. Just handed it to my father after 5years use and it’s still to this day a great screen.

I really liked that S27B970D, a lovely looking display! Review of the C32HG70 hopefully completed and online by the end of the week. Got a couple of final things to write up and test but nearly finished :)

Waiting your review mate. Because I want to replace the current X2730Z. But sick of it's colours, regardless the settings. Even my ancient laptop with it's IPS glossy monitor, looks better.
