Ok so just put it together and having a quick check, initial thoughts are very very good! No panel bleed, no dead pixels, nothing yet.....

Some more thorough testing to be done, especially later when it gets dark, will definitely be able to see any bleed or backlight issues then.

So far so good though!

Had word that G9's are expected into the UK in the second week of October so hopefully not too long to wait.

I've got enough on order to fulfill all existing pre-orders so as long as we are allocated enough then everyone should have theirs (conservatively speaking) by the end of the month.
 
HDR is much better on this G9, I had extreme clipping on the last one, either a FW update difference or AMD drivers have fixed something.

30%? How much did you pay? It said '30% off all monitors' but then £1023.20 which is less than that.

Glad you guys are getting quality models! Just got delivery notification from DPD :-)
 
I may well be dipping into the realms of obviousness here, but coming from a setup of 3x 27" monitors that used to allow the most minimal GPU clocks at idle, the upgrade to a 32" G7 and one of the older 27" remaining has increased my idle clockspeeds.

Notably due to the refresh rate being 240 Hz.

I wonder if the 3080, whenever it arrives, will idle at a lower temperature, idles between 57 and 63, when the current 1080s fans kick in at 60.
 
Just wanted to say, I also ordered a G9 'direct' earlier today too. I won't be getting mine until Monday as I need to make space, but I will confirm how good it is.

I only just read that apparently the G9 does not have MBR whereas the smaller versions do... Can anyone else confirm that? I believe on the G7 you get a 'fastest MBR' option under the response time settings.
