** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

I posted that above, HDR does not work with Freesync it needs Freesync 2 and G-Sync Compatible is based on the former for now.
Where are you finding that information? HDR and Gsync work together on my 32". I know Freesync 2 supports the newer AMD specific low latency HDR (that Assassins Creed Odyssey has implemented) but normal HDR does work with Gsync.

I have the monitor and it is also widely known, and now Nvidia do G-Sync Ultimate is for G-Sync+HDR (newer hardware module on 4k models).

Google it and see people using a trick to try to get HDR (in some form) on G-Sync Comp screens while adaptive Sync is enabled (they use a Acer Tool, does not matter if monitor is another brand).

Ive seen some people have issues with certain monitors only supporting HDR over HDMI, or a few monitors not letting the user enable Adaptive once HDR is enabled (a couple Acers) but thats a monitor restriction. I'm coming across far more results of people using Gsync Compatible monitors with HDR successfullythough and I just googled "hdr g sync compatible" Gsync ultimate is also a totally different ballgame to Gsync compatible so doesnt really compare.

I also own the 32" G7 too and can use Gsync and HDR at the same time so... maybe its an older 10xx restriction again? I literally just ran the Nvidia Pendulum demo in HDR with the Gsync indicator enabled in the control panel too, as well as Far Cry 5 and AC Odyssey.

I know the 1000 series is lacking that extra bandwidth compression on the DP 1.4 (I mentioned a few it pages back), not sure if the Titan XP (2017) will have it but not supported in Bios/Firmware so as before I drop from 10bit (needed for proper HDR10/400 never mind 600) to 8bit if I set HZ higher than 144hz but I doubt this is another cut-down feature as none of my reading has tied it to 1000 series or 2000 series.

I have FC5 but not installed as not finished FC4 or started FC5+Instincts for some reason or other so that is my only HDR game in Steam Libary, I did find out this using the Nvidia Pendulum demo.

Guy on YT review says he has 2080Ti and G-Sync+HDR worked but he state about Linus having to disable Adaptive Sync to get HDR to work (AFAIR he was also running a 2080Ti)

The ECO Power Mode I mentioned a page or so back finally worked for me once so far.

I came home to the monitor off and blinking blue light (same as it does if you Shut Down PC, which I rarefy do) and one press of my KB's space-bar and it was on instantly unlike when it is Powered Off..

Does anyone know what causes the monitor to go nuts with this picture mentioned in Reddit? https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/c...ey_g7_flicker_trigger_open_and_drag/?sort=new
I was also messing around with the settings on the monitor while having this website open
https://rog.asus.com/wallpapers/
When I adjusted Black Equalizer between 8-10 the whole screen get's messed up with that web page open. If I minimize it and open for example explorer the picture is messed up there too.

It does not happen on my ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q.
I also did not have any flickering issues with the ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q due to the G-Sync Module. I am seriously considering returning my G7 and wait for something else.
