NEW STEAM DEALS!!!!

Anybody played Silent Hunter III?

Quite fancy a sub simulator and it is only £2.49, but my patience levels are pretty slim these days.

I know it is cheap so some will say get it anyway, but I have to stop buying stuff i will never play

Yes I have played it, I thought I would enjoy it but I found it too complicated and boring for my liking. It does have a lot of fans though I think.

I also thought the voice acting was poor, which detracts from the immersion.

Oh and you can't adjust the screen resolution.

Dragon Ages: Origins arrived today as well!

Your life is now officially over for at least a month :) awesome game.

I purchased Dark athena during the last sale and was equally dissapointed by the graphics. I played it to a point but just became really bored of the repetitive gameplay.

Cheers for the heads up. £2.49 still in the pot for another random tile later hopefully.

Its one of my favourite games ever- but then naval history was one of my special subjects doing history at university (1st year dissertation on the battle of the atlantic).

If you like the idea of a sub sim you cant lose at the price, still looks pretty good graphics wise too.

I bought it a long time ago and even retail, I didn't get any documentation what the controls did, just a PDF to print out myself, which I couldn't be bothered with at the time.

As for complexity though, you're right there, virtually every single button on your keyboard does something :o

I gave up before ever really managing to do anything on it.

I'm stuck at 97% on GTA4, it just gets a little bit then stops for about 3-4 minutes, then gets a little more. Bandwidth monitor looks like a hillside.

Any one brought Medieval II: Total War. Can't seem to get it to download, just says 'Download Initializing' and then does nothing??

Steam servers will be getting hammered. Was getting 1.2mb/s overnight and early this morning, then it just slowly got worse and worse until it come to a halt.

Note to anyone who might have missed it like i did, there are more graphics options than there appears to be at first if you scroll down, i thought the textures and bump mapping was way too low res at first and looked like shiny plastic, then i found out you could set high textures and a few other options, no scroll bar at the side lol. :p

I'm thinking about the Unreal pack - does anyone play these games online anymore?

I used to love the original UT and would love to play online capture the flag again.

I still play the original UT online from time to time and often setup CTF servers with friends, its still a great game even to this day in my opinion :D

The whole pack for £7.81 is definitely worth it
