NEW STEAM DEALS!!!!

I bought Dark Athena last night.

A few problems;
In Butcher Bay, the screen looks a bit squashed. Resolution is set to 2048x1152 which is the correct resolution.

Second is, when i try to go on to the multiplayer and make and account it says "Invalid or Banned CD-Key". Anyone else getting this?

Cheers

I could be wrong but i think theres an aspect ratio setting somewhere, not sure about the key but try restarting and making sure firewall isn't blocking anything.

So is the unreal pack really worth it now?

I was indecisive when that went on sale a few months ago and passed, the new one looks like it has really good graphics, im just really unsure if i should get it.

I want left 4 dead 2 to be mega cheap! As well as MW2 but that will not happen I guess, the CoD games are some of the only games without any reduction atm...Selfish activision :(

GTA4 £5!?! £5!!!

but.. but... i don't have a quad for gaming and I don't want to sign up for loads of crap, talk me out of it:o

I have a friend with the following system:

Asus P5N-E SLI
Intel PD £.1GHz if I remember correctly (can't remember the exact one, it is one which shares its name with a low clocked C2D)
4x1GB Corsair XMS2 PC6400
XFX HD 4850

and he plows through GTA4 no problems. Obviously, not as well as would be possible if it was programmed correctly, but hey, it is playable and looks sweet :D

Had a blast on GTA4 this morning and it was great! :D

Detail looked better than the 360 version imo but unfortunately I did get a few frame rate drops now and again.

Can't wait to pick up a wired 360 pad in a few days time and really enjoy this bad boy. :D

I decided to get GTA IV, Beyond good and evil, and Audiosurf in the end. £8.98, bargain.
Left them downloading at night and fired up GTA this morning, tbh it looks fair pants.
There's jaggies everywhere and i turned up the settings to the max it would allow me, thought it would have looked better on my system tbh.
So, i've been reading up on the 'ultimate textures mod' and 'realizm', just wondering if anyone else has used them and if they are any good and work with steam? Huge files to download and don't want to to only find out they don't work.
If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be a huge help.

Yeah, I'm running GTA IV with pretty much everything set to medium on my system (I just used the -norestrictions command line file thing to unlock all textures/resolutions etc) and it's running at within 30-40FPS or so. It's still playable but it does actually look really crappy for some reason, I thought it would look equal to or at least a big better than the 360 version. Is there anything you can do to get it looking a bit sharper etc?
