New summer transfer thread

ok guys, old one's disappeared, maybe we went off topic in certain places i know i made a few posts which weren't really related to any clubs transfers.

We probably better assume it's been locked or deleted for now unless a mod tells us otherwise so let's start a new one where we try to stick to the topic. Transfer news and relative merits of transfer.

If the old one comes back then it'll be easy enough to ditch this one.
 
Was wondering where the last one went. Didn't think I was that drunk.

Anyhow, Morrison definitely looks like he is joining West Brom.

Fee, well two rumours are;

£1.5m
or
£2m plus £1m if WBA are promoted within two seasons.

Hopefully it's the latter. And hopefully we have someone coming in or else our squad is weakened even further.

Fulham were after him in a swap for Rosie, would have rathered they do that :(.

Incidentally has anyone noticed a post count drop as a result of the transfer thread disappearing?

Was suprised to see him going considering he's the only real right midfielder Boro have, obviously Southgate must feel Tuncay and Aliieididieieiire can do better jobs.

Think mine is the same, I would have probably noticed as I contributed about 200 posts to that thread :(
 
Not sure. The forums have been having a few problems recently (i keep getting time outs) so it might be related to that. If they have a backup of the thread they might be able to restore.

It would be strange if it was just deleted, i didnt think it had gone particuarly off-topic/offensive, but i guess a mod may say what happened.

That's the thing thou, he's not nor ever is going to be a Right-Midfielder. He came through the youth set-up as a central midfielder. It's only cos we suck on the right-sided that he was forced to play out of position. I saw him a lot when he was playing for the academy and he was superb playing from the middle. Shame we won't see how he could do from his rightful place.
 
Kieron Dyer deal to West Ham is off - Newcastle pulled the plug at the last minute. Interesting.
 
I'm trying to find out what happened to the old thread and will let you know more when I get more information.

He had a bust up with Southgate last season when he questioned why Southgate wouldnt let him play in the centre, thats why cattermole was played on the right a lot more, Southgate then game out at the end of the season and said he would be given a chance but the damage was done and they never really saw eye to eye anymore.

Looks like a reasonable deal and he will really excel in the championship, an excellent replacment for Komas for WBA

Hes a massive Manchester United fan as well and always has been so we couldn't expect t much loyalty from him

Didn't you have upwards of 500 posts in there? :eek:

Really wierd the way it's just disappeared like this. I can't see why it would have been deleted by a mod, as far as I could tell there was nothing rule breaking about it. Unless it was deleted unintentionally?
