This gives the option of playing a 4-4-2 with Downing and another winger with Tuncay in midfield instead or Arca or a 4-5-1 with Tuncay in the centre and several other options like a 4-2-3-1 with 2 defensive midfielders and Tuncay, Downing, Aliadiere/new midfielder beind Yakubu or Mido.
The right is the only place we are lacking and would unlock masses of options

Definatly a big name that aint fitting in like mendieta jsut fi we get a season out of him it would be great

Eagles would be a superb signing on loan. Really impressed me whenever I've seen him. I'm assuming he's rated at Man Utd as well or else they would have looked to move him on this summer.
From what I've heard thou is we are still keeping tabs on that Karadeniz. Seemed we were close to agreeing a fee then whispers that other clubs were interested saw his price bumped up so talks broke down.
I think Southgate has done pretty well so far in the window considering the inflated prices. However, we do need a forward and unfortunately I can't see us getting another great deal here like we have done with Young and Tuncay. At least if we do sign Mido we've only paid over the odds for one player. Also he'll retain his transfer value pretty well due to his age if we do decide to sell him later on.

I'm so angry we just signed Mido. He looks and acts like a pimp, a gangster. We now have entirely too many strikers, yet still need a right winger; Tuncay Sanli looks good as a winger but i'd rather have him being a striker.
