New summer transfer thread

If Boro continue this trend of selling their best players then I can see a tough year ahead for Southgate and the fans, and at this moment in time I wouldn't rule out relegation.

We've sold one player, that was morrison and he was hardly our best was he ?

The Yak wouldn't be that big of a loss, he's great on his day but the team carried him at the end of last season. Southgate is intelligent he'd buy better if the Yak went and he has made the team a lot stronger, with recent additions. Only problem is the injuries to the defenders. Pog is out till Xmas which is a huge loss.

Still a player that had gone and not really replaced. You needed Tuncay regardless of if Vid stayed. Alieieididie was another addition but not necasserily replacing anyone.

We've gone for a different game plan tho rather than having to strong striker we can now play a strong striker with a fast one or a play maker/ secondary striker

Yak used to be quick! The partnership didn't work too well last season with him and fatty dooks.

Didnt viduka give you god knows how many lifelines last season?
Its all fair now you're slating him, but it was brown nosing last season wasnt it?

Yes he had to good stints at the club, the few months leading upto the world cup and the few months leading upto his contract running out. The rest of the time he was nothing special and could easily have been replaced, he had several injuries, cause quite a bit of disruption among players and fans, and was nothing more than a mercenary, would not have wanted the club to pay him more money when it could turn out hes got nothing to play for and so won't so im glad he left after rumors we offered silly money to him

only second half of last season, it took him god knows how long to score his first goal iirc
