New summer transfer thread

Why would you want Adriano? They are both equally crap and overweight.

picking up adriano for ANY team could turn into great business - he has had real bad injuries coupled with inter's rise (as others demise)... potential to be the best, at least the one of the best in europe as he once was. still young and so so quick and strong on his day; a great shot on him too. very similar to martins - but a bit more clinical in his finishing albeit out of shape

West Ham have confirmed that they have made an approach for Adriano regarding a loan deal.

edit\ noooooooo, beaten by an old man :(

According to SSN his agent has spoke of a permenant move to West Ham, maybe its an initial loan with an option to buy him after.

i think fergie has a cunning plan. let another UK team sign him for cheap - wait for him to dazzle and shine then enter some protracted negotiations - having to pay more than double his original transfer fee and really pee off the host club and the UK.

it seemed to work out with Carrick, Tevez and still got potential for Berbatov to do the same:/

Wenger was offered Adriano on loan in return for one of our players. Think he has definitely done the right thing turning him down. Firstly he supposedly has a bad attitude and currently there is a good vibe within the squad. We would have the same problem we had with Henry where we have loads of good players and one star player and suddenly the whole squad looks up to them and doesn't want to annoy them. Now Henry has gone I feel it has set players like Hleb free who were always too scared to go for it themselves just in case he upset Henry. Same problem Fergie had with Keane and to a less extent RvN I feel, he used to intimidate players and some couldn't open up fully around him.

Secondly Adriano is in very poor physical shape and much of that is down to him having an alcohol problem and him going out partying every other night. He has become slow and sluggish and I reckon it would take a good 3-6 months to get him right. I just don't see the point of that when it is a one year loan and Inter are sending him out on loan because they want to get him in shape again and Wenger ain't gonna go around sorting other teams players out, that is for the smaller clubs.....

ahh yes a great plan, let somebody sign him on the cheap and pay way over the top for him after 1 good season

I want Adriano at Milan.
A few months at Milanello will do him a world of good, and with the all stalwarts looking over him, i doubt he will stray.
We whipped fat boy Ronaldo into the Ronaldo again, im sure we could do it with Adriano.

Cant see him coming to england.

Really strange whats going on with David Nugent. Maybe Redknapp was a bit naive when he bought him and has realised he's not all he's made out to be. You don't sell a player after less then 2 months unless somethings gone wrong somewhere. Be interesting to see if its Anelka who replaces him.
