NEW Titan Pascal (full 3840 shaders) just announced!

Anyone seen the Xbox Scorpio demo? 4K 60 FPS in Forza with a ton of room to spare all from a modified RX480 and Bulldozer CPU SoC! I'm sorry if this is trolling or fanboyish but that kind of performance makes cards like this look like dinosaurs (given what this is likely to cost).

It won't look like anything a 1080ti can run forza at now at 4k and xbox one/scopio run a very cut down version of windows 10 so doesn't need as much power. With game mode coming out forza at ultra with settings xbox will never get as they are made just for pc in horizen 3 for example.

Given that Forza 4 isn't out on the PC we just don't know what it will look like but from the demo they showed off the Scorpio had plenty of room left in tank to crank up the settings and improve visual fidelity if they wished too. Besides I think you miss the point I was making, while the new titan will offer more out right performance your having to pay the £1000 for it, we don't know what the Scorpio will cost but even at half the price you get all that performance for a full system.

It goes to show what you can achieve when you program close to the metal and you don't have to deal with the bloat from older API's that clog up PC performance and the inefficient command paths.

The release of this card I totally understand.

The timing of the release I do not understand, surely the 1080ti FE would have been faster than Vega so AMD could not claim 'fastest' card status or, is it the case that Vega is in-fact quicker than a 1080ti FE which forced Nvidia to act now.

We shall find out soon enough !

Some very clever tech in Scorpio especially the DX12 hard baked into the command processor.

It is simply the case that yields are now good enough to have a a fully enabled GP2012 card so there was no reason not to release the TitanXP2. Simiallry, since yields were good it was now possible to release a 1080TI with mass volumes. The release of the Ti generated a lot of sales form people who upgraded form the 1080, 1070 and 980ti etc. I doubt nvidia really cared at al what AMD is up to. , we are still a few months away from vega.

They are GeForce GTX cards though, they even have the Branding directly on them. All the Titans have been, even when they had DP compute fully enabled.

Yup, nvidia seem to brand them oddly, on their site its just Titan then the card itself has geforce slapped on it in unmissable green led lit text. :p

Only 31.9K graphics score? Is that it..? FE 1080 Ti's are doing 32-33K

Where. The top 1080ti score here is this and it's pretty heavily overclocked.
  1. Score 25311, GPU 1080 Ti @2050/3054, GFX Score 30686, Physics Score 27684, Combined Score 10365, CPU 6950X @4.444, Kaapstad, Post No.1374 - Link Drivers 378.92

Fastest card here is an old Titan XP

  1. Score 26102, GPU TitanP @2101/2772, GFX Score 32050, Physics Score 28179, Combined Score 10431, CPU 6950X @4.444, Kaapstad, Post No.1288 - Link Drivers 376.33

Both are Kaap, btw Kaap I did love how you immediately noted you could order as many as you wanted :). Time will tell, be surprising if Nvidia hadn't tested these to make sure they are better in all benches.

I'm a little tempted on this having skipped the previous and Ti... but I'd want two which sways me towards the Ti.

Still had Kaap put the newest Titan under water and hit the clocks it would be the fastest card on this board. It's hard to see a 1080 ti without extra volt's and water coming close looking at thos scores. They are both Kaap because his Titan XP and his 1080ti are the fastest here.

different CPU but the graphics score is just over 32K on this Ti

On his PC the new Titan would beat it at the same clocks. It's just a higher spec card and to be expected. Would probably only be by around 5 percent though. Any how that 5 percent for £500 more is daft.

AdoredTV reckons they've got another bigger, faster Titan as well, the Titan Ultra. :p

I doubt they have something for now but there is always another Titan around the bend. He says it's probably not another Pascal card or Gp102 can't remember so probably Volta. I would be surprised to see a Volta Titan this side of the year but it's not impossible.

What he says is that they could make a bigger die than GP 102 on current process if needed to combat Vega, Also says it will be a crippled die and remilked full die later :)

Yea now i remember. I can't see that happening this close to Volta which is rumoured to be on 12nm. The way Nvidia are spitting out cards it wouldn't be a huge shock but i can't agree with what he said.
