@robfosters Eythorne. I used to live in the white horse pub many years ago.

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/6b/bd/02/6bbd02c989ac1162b0d94a8e0f991280.jpg unsure of the date but it had a cellar too for the kegs. Hated going down there especially at night.

i remember seeing a pic from 1955 or 1957, the above may be it. It's changed a lot now.
I see it’s not even a pub any more.

Always get a sinking feeling when I see nice old country pubs disappear. More upsetting than the ghosts :(

As a shopper at boohooman, I approve that joke :p

I’ve been watching that BBC documentary and I’ve changed my mind. I now believe in ghosts.

Has anyone else seen it? It’s on the third series now. It’s called “Ghosts”.

I've seen this, I wonder how many others will watch it on iPlayer and also become convinced!

@robfosters Got a text from my mum when I asked about her experiences from that old pub we lived in:

"The ghost was able to open a heavy old fashioned spring toilet door."

"when our stepdaughter's boyfriend stayed for the first time the ghost ripped everything off a three tiered shelving unit in the middle of the night but the unit remained standing."

"We had a guest filming a music video in the cellars and he blew all their lighting, no electrical faults were found."

Sounds fun

Fascinating. Apparently the place is a ruin now. Mind you, Borley saw activity even after it was razed so something might still happen here.
Harry Price was a fraud though, wasn’t he.

I’ve got a signed first edition of his second Borley book. It’s just a collection of faked and made up stufff.

You know what absolutely does happen there now or even back in the 70s? Absolutely nothing. An old derelict house long forgotten by time but at one point 50 years ago was home to some Highlands winds causing late night noises that rustled some noodles of people who were already too cold to function any further so stayed over for the night and as a result heard/saw things that simply weren't there. This is a scientifically proven fact that the brain will make you see hear and feel things that do not exist if the body has been through exhaustion, like in the tricky climates of the snowy Highlands.

The alternative is some people are way more susceptible to these tricks of the mind than the vast majority. Derren Brown has proven this on live television countless times.
