Getting them into the Prem, and looking likely to secure mid table, with the budget and players he had, was absolutely fantastic.

To sack him is just.. I dont know. Owner been on the happy pills again.

Just the right time to switch to (delete as necessary) [Shearer / Keagan / the Angel of the North] and push for a Champions League place, eh Ashley?

they are trying their best to implode again then.

We are a mickey mouse club. Chris will go on to better things without us and after this all we deserve is another relegation imposed on us once again by Ashley and his mismanagement. God knows how he ever became a millionaire. Team spirit, desire, pride, passion. Hughton brought all of this and some great results to a medicore team. But of course that is never good enough. You will be missed Hughton, roll on the championship next year.

Stupid stupid thing to do, he was doing well with the club both last season in getting promoted and looking at a top half finish this season. Feel really bad for him, christ knows what they are thinking in sacking him.

What an absolute disgrace. Hughton must be gutted.

Is there something in the Tyne water or something, seems like the craziest club in the world.

Mike Ashley never fails to do his best to irritate Newcastle fans, I see.

Surprised he didn't just sack Hughton before he'd gotten them promoted, or something even more stupid.

Feel sorry for NUFC fans. What an idiot. If any manager has any common sense, he wouldn't even apply for the vacant position, they'll be sacked when he deems fit, whatever the league position of the club.

Absolutely retarded - as stated NFC are doing very well this season considering who they have available, and some of their results were just outstanding.

We've got an owner who isn't willing to spend his cash on players as he still wants to sell the club, so whatever manager he gets in, he needs to release funds for players, otherwise 8 months down the line all we're going to get is another sacked manager with a massive compensation payout in his final payslip.
