cooler of the 1950xtx looks interesting, how shall i put it... it looks less noisy lol.
I bloody hope so, lol.

But not as fast as a 7950 GX2.

Easyrider waits for 18,500 05 3d marks.

If it does.I will BUY!

but somehow I doubt it for some reason.... :)

Christ people are STILL basing purchases on 3d mark 05.

I really love the argument about the gx2, Its TWO cards slapped together and people get strangely aroused when it scores high in benchmarks, of course its gonna score bloody high its TWO of their second fastest gpu's versus one.

Its about bang for buck. Benching a card usually provides the information on how fast a card is.

Tip,

The more you get the faster it is usually. :D

so? more fool you for believing them. Not being top flight doesnt make a card 'old hat' for anybody except those with more money than sense.

I sold my 9800 pro for 100 quid

I sold my 7800 GT for 160 quid

I bought my 7900 GT for 190 quid

I sell at the right time so the next gen doesn't cost the earth.

I sold my S939 before the price cuts making conroe around 100 quid to upgrade.

More money than sense?

No smart.

Well thanks for all yours advice. No need to argue, I think you've all got valid points and helped me become even less certain which card I want :D (each of you have made me think "yeah I suppose he's right"). You're all right but of course it comes down to what I want/need in the end. I was going to buy an 1900xt next week but now Im considering waiting until the 1950 comes out, seeing how much they cost and seeing how much the 1900 comes down to. I will also definitely consider the 7950gx2 at that time so I could go for any of the three!

Now, you, kiss and make up! :)

Last I knew he got rid of that to buy a 7600GT. *Shrug.*

I did I bought one to try,

It didn't cut the mustard at WS res.Although a fantastic card.

decided to keep my GTX.

Thanks for your concern.

Lets just wait for the benchmarks shall we? :P

All I'll say is IF the xt is close to the gx2 then surely ATi will be aiming to make the xtx version have the same performance or faster still? just my two cents as it doesn't make sence for ATi to release a card at the same price but not offer the same or better performance now does it?

Wait and see..... the GX2 is 2 7900gt's connected together after all! So lets see what the 1950xtx can do when it is finally released for reviews!

P.S my bro's new pc purchase has a GX2 in it and it is an awesome card! Cos of all the acoustic dampening though its just a slight hum :P lol!

Aye, it's best to wait for benchmarks (real-world ones too, not just 3D Mark), but I trust Gibbo's opinion very much so I would be pretty devastated if the X1950XT and X1950XT-X turned out to be a lemon (especially because I am considering buying one.)
