*** Nexus 10 Tablet ***

Mine has crashed and rebooted a couple of times so far, will do a complete reset later and start again on it. Case arrived and one of the magnets dropped out which wasn't a good start.

Undecided still if I prefer the ipad or the nexus and which to keep.

Is anybody else having the crash/reboot problems? I've just done a factory reset on it and installed a few apps, clicked on iplayer and the thing open the browser then rebooted. Opened another app and it did another reboot.

That is odd, running the latest update?

I've taken a pic of my light bleed, it looks exaggerated in the image but that's because its on full brightness:

Those that have replaced theirs, is the replacement an improvement on this?

The factory reset was done as I'd had 2 hard reboots and 2 soft so thought take it back to defaults and try. It's on the 4.2.1 update.

That's a bit strange, I haven't had my reboots but then again but also depends on the apps you are using.

Mine's taking forever to charge though.

Nothing out of the ordinary, Facebook, Twitter, update of default apps and iplayer etc installed. The reboot has been when launching the browser, iplayer but nothing special. Hard locks then reboots were really.

Charging took hours, from usb it'd have taken 12 hours or so, from mains 6 or so.

Not sure what's happening there, I am using similar apps to you but I am not using the stock launcher, nova launcher along with regular fb, pulse, chrome etc.

Also been streaming HD movies over wifi, works without any issues, really happy so far.

The issues surfacing with the Nexus is disturbing!! Do you think this is why they havent had any for ages as lots being returned?

They tried to deliver the replacement today - it arrived again with no name on and the seals were all broken so back it went :( Pretty **** poor from Google tbh and I'm going to get a refund I think.

But was the unit used? Did it have all the covers on etc?

****ing shocking. sorry to hear that. i reckon you should go get a ipad instead if u really want a good high quality 10inch laptop.

this laptop may run a better OS but it is useless if the hardware is made by a 10 year old

Had the screen protectors on but was covered in fingerprints. The seals say very clearly to "reject if broken" so that's what I did.
The annoying part is that to send out another I either have to have ANOTHER £300+ "reserved" from my account or wait for them to get this one back

There's a thread over at XDA and they are saying the broken seals are due to google opening the box and linking the device to your account . By default the option is link the account, you have to uncheck a box to not have it linked.

Never mind, don't think they do open the box

Bloody hell this is getting annoying, its just locked again whilst using the email app to look through work emails. Press and hold of the power button to get it back, full reboot and try again. One more and it goes back and I stick with the iPad

Really liking this new device, I simply can’t put it down!

Only problem is I'm noticing the pixel pitch of other displays, I find every other monitor I sit in front of just doesn’t look as pleasing. Also find myself jabbing other screens with my finger forgetting it’s not touchscreen
