*** Nexus 10 Tablet ***

If only the cover could act as a nice stand, then I would be tempted :(. I wonder if other companies will also take advantage of the cover mount? Seems a pretty cool way to keep the device nice and slim.

yeah its pretty, cool and keeps it VERY slim, but i travel a lot and the one i have has a stand which is better for planes. i will see if anyone wants it, in the next day or so, if not i will return within 7 days

i have an official book cover (black/grey) for sale if anyone wants it £20 posted

I don't see the point of a case that doesn't have a stand.

In most positions of use, you don't want to be holding it the whole time.

I've found the LuvTab case to be very good.

Are there any of these case stands which allow you to position the tablet in an almost vertical plane without falling forwards, such that you can lie flat with it on your chest and have it square on to your face?

Quick question about the usb otg cable. Would it benefit at all from having a usb 3.0 flash drive or would the nexus/cable only be able to use usb 2.0 speeds. Just want to make sure the flash drive i purchase has sufficient read speeds to stream 10-16 mb/s bitrate 1080p movies

not sure, i think the cable will be usb2 spec, but then again i don't know that,

my advise is to buy a USB3 drive anyway, as it makes sense to by the latest tech for just a few quid extra

Yeah but if u are gonna buy a USB drive get usb3 anyway if your PC has it. I have mapped a network drive on my nexus 10 so just drag and drop

I've been trying to find out the usb 2.0 rated speeds for some of the usb 3.0 sticks but not had any luck. I want to know if the usb 3.0 stick is running at usb 2.0 speeds will it be faster or slower than a high rated fast usb 2.0 stick. I already have a 16gb patriot xt rage which is approx 20-25 mb/s speed. I want to buy a 32gb or 64gb stick, all the usb 3.0 sticks have speeds much faster but when dropped down to usb 2.0 would they be as quick as the xt rage? Struggling to find out

Edit: just read elsewhere that the usb 3.0 stick should run at the maximum possible rate the usb 2.0 port will allow.

I've now just completed all my purchases:

Nexus 10 16gb
32gb usb 3.0 Flash drive
Usb otg cable
Poetic slimline case

Can't wait for it all to arrive :)

when you bought the nexus at google, did you tick the box link it to your account ? would they have to open the box to add any info to the tablet ?

No they wouldn't. It's based on serial number which is on the outside of the box.

I have unexpectedly been bought a nexus 10 for my bday from my brother, so now I have both this and the nexus 4.

On my nexus 4 I've followed some instructions on colour my home screen to create a really nice desktop, however Can't seem to find any for the nexus 10. Anyone have any recommendations?

Additionally' are there any must have apps for the tablet that aren't on the phone?

How do I stop the standard music app from scanning all folders? I end up with music from my games folder. Annoying as I now have a library populated with Caesar 3 sounds!
