*** Nexus 10 Tablet ***

What are the main differences with the sentinel rom? Do you mean apps run smoother etc?

The whole tablet runs snappier, some nice addons and features. Battery is also lasting longer it seems also, I've been using it for about an hour now and battery would normally be at 90% but its still on 97% :)

Most flash sites that would work crap and crash before now all work fine, can actually navigate flash based videos without it crapping out on me

This is my first root and first custom ROM since I bought the tablet on launch day so its a welcome fresh change tbh

I'm having nightmare wireless issues with this tablet. One the verge of sending it back :(

It just will not play ball with my router, constant drops outs and tonight I changed the wifi channel and *poof*, Nexus 10 is without wireless permanently, nothing I try will bring it back to life and every other device works perfectly.

Is this a common problem with this tablet?

Have you tried a different router? I heard due to Android in general it doesn't always play nice with some routers. If it still doesn't work with a different router then I would send it back for a replacement.

Yes unfortunately. If you are up for it, flash CM10.1 either the RC1 version or the latest Nightly. This will include newer wifi drivers thst sre taken from different devices & it will then function perfectly again.

I was able to get it going again by switching the wireless mode to b/g/n from g/n (Asus n56u)

I can't fathom why that would make a difference but I'll see how it goes.

If it's a trait of the tablet then CM10.1 might be a good option, thanks for the tip.

I've got a bit of a problem with my Nexus 10, I want to do a factory reset to remove encryption, but the factory reset fails every time. I've tried the stock one via the menus, and the clockwork one via recovery, but neither works. I thought I'd have a go at re-rooting it to see if I could force the issue, but the recovery isn't able to mount the SD, so I can't get to the file to flash. The unit is spoofing a Galaxy Nexus for Skygo purposes, which seems to be causing the adb drivers to not work on my PC, as it's obviously not seeing it as a Nexus 10 when I connect. I can't remove the spoofing, as it needs to be rooted, which brings me full circle.
It's a right pickle!

Any ideas what I might be able to do to get the unit rooted again?

The adb issue shouldn't have anything to do with spoofing the Galaxy Nexus, spoofing only changes the build.prop.

Windows drivers rely on USB vendor/device id's - hence the drivers will still see it as a Nexus 10.

Are your drivers and adb binary up to date? They tend to need updating sometimes when you've updated to a newer Android OS with a greater API level.

Contemplating picking up this tablet for £290.

I have a Nexus 7 which is great for travel. But I really think a 10" display is needed for home use.

The reviews stating the battery performance and recharge time has somewhat put me off of it.

Are people here still happy with there Nexus 10?

How do you use your tablet?

I had no problems with the battery life at all, it was pretty awesome tbh, charge time was never an issue either... You can also get a pogo charger for slightly faster charge.

I use it mostly for surfing the web, viewing photos and a few games. I'm mostly interested in that monster resolution and increase screen size. My Nexus 7 frustrates me a little with its screen size around the house, it's not a million miles away from the screen size of my phone.

Did you get rid of yours?

I read about the pogo charger, could be the way forward.

Very happy with mine still. Use it 90% of the time at home now, and my PC only gets the other 10%.

Battery is fine. I always get at least a full day out of it even when watching lots of videos etc. It does charge quite slowly but i always leave it over night so it isn't an issue for me.
