From the andoid twitter feed
Starting today, Nexus 7 (2012 and 2013) and Nexus 10 will be getting a tasty update to Android 4.4, KitKat
Looking on XDA there only seems to be one person who got the 4.4 update so far, which failed (he was rooted however so that may have caused it). Seems quite slow compared to the N7 rollout.
Reading even more posts it seems highly unlikey that we will get the transparent notification/soft key bar on the N10. That's really disappointing Google...
EDIT: And the update is here for some people. Main things noticed is...
No tablet UI for the settings (really Google?)
No ART
No transparency
Apparently the launcher is pretty pants and buggy as well. Would be nice if Google had the GE launcher on instead, seems a bit silly keeping it on the N5 so far...
... I'm not so sure if I want to upgrade to 4.4...

Yeah it seems rather all disappointing from Google. Would have loved the transparent bars - can't believe Google couldn't put the effort in to make them work.
I may pass up the OTA but will probably end up installing it![]()
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/1...y-fixes-gel-on-tablets-and-more-apk-download/ They're part of Google Experience Launcher and it looks like that's coming to everything running 4.1 or later.
