*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

Flashed the 4.4.3 ROM after completely wiping the device and returning it back to 4.4.2 stock and I have to say that the N5 runs even better now.

Battery life has improved quite considerably, this phone goes from strength to strength. I'll be very happy to run the N5 until the either the Nexus 6 or Google Silver phone appears.

Amazing phone. I love it....

I think I'm finally ready to love one too ;)

Is 16gb enough gents?

i would say it depends. i was very worried about 16gb as i came from a 64gb iphone 5.

it has proved to be fine for my needs as i use google music (so nothing stored on the device) or soundcloud.

the biggest thing for me that takes up space is the nandroid backups when im flashing roms/kernels etc.

Really? I'll believe it when I read that you've bought one again :p

You've had quite an adventure phone wise Dude :D

It's been a tough ride, but I think I am finally getting to grips with my demons and my addiction to the cider fruit. Sometimes I still feel the urge.... but my therapist tells me I'm doing well now.

:p

PS - £100 saving over the 32gb makes it sorely tempting to go 16gb!

LOL...:D

Dude - you have to give me the details of your therapist as they might be able to rid me of my shiny gadget addiction.

Yes the saving makes it even more worthwhile getting the N5.

Since 4.4.3 my battery life has gone too ****, and WiFi has been really spotty, going to try do another clean install tomorrow and see if it improves things. Anyone else experienced something similar.

Yes but since before the update. I get around six hours with one hour screen time before it gets to 15%.

Will try to remember to check BBS.

what cases does everyone use on here?

cheap 99p one from ebay, it's black covers the back of the phone with cutouts for camera, speakers, mic, headphones, etc.

it also has a ridge over the front of the phone protecting the screen from drops onto a flat surface.

i've had fancy expensive cases in the past, imo they are a total waste of money as i sell my phones regularly and buy new ones.

cheap ones do the job intended for 1/10th of the costs.

You can have my 32gb for £200 :p

slick wrap carbon fiber skin arrived today and tbh not that impressed :(

- corners don't fully stick down so left with a wee gap thus looks a bit cheap
- prefer the rubberised feel to this carbon fiber feel

Will get photos up later.
