*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

Mast down in your area, or more likely your provider switching off a mast (which is quite likely if you're on EE, as they're continuing to make the "network more efficient" by removing old overlapping T-Mobile and Orange signals).

What sort of iasues do you have ? I don't think the phone is great with signal. But not had any major issues.

I was going to have a rant at EE but my 4G tablet is still picking up a good signal whereas my Nexus now has no signal at all and the emergency calls only notice is displayed. I tested the SIM in another phone and it works perfectly so that just leaves the handset to blame.

*#*#4636#*#* shows my signal strength at 0dBm 99 asu.

Any ideas on what I should be paying for a 6 week old nexus 5 guys?
Was looking at oneplus one but someone was selling a nexus 5 with a few cases and wireless charger....

Not sure on what I should be paying?
Has receipt for warranty purposes.

^Defo go for the Nexus 5.
I've had the OPO for nearly two weeks and the N5 is just as good if not better.
Where the OPO falls down is on the software front which is still glitchy and the horrible yellow screen which sits right at the bottom of the screen plus ergonomically it's not very easy to handle.

I went back to using my N5 and couldn't be happier..

Nexus 6 rumours are that its a 5.9" display.

Bad move if u ask me

Yeah I read that as well and it's being made by Moto and the codename for the device is Shamu?

Bittersweet news a 5.9" device is defo in phablet territory but Moto being involved with the next Nexus device is kind of nice.

5.2" would've been ideal in the size of the LG G2

Hey guys, do you think they'll do a quick fire sale and knock a £100 quid off like last year? If the pattern repeats it'll happen on the last week of August. I sincerely hope the next Nexus isn't bigger than 5.5in unless the front is ALL display and no bezel...

I have massive hands. Would love a 5.9 phone.

I can see this would not suit everyone.

I think the screen size is BS. People just trying to make it fit with the naming convention

For me the current Nexus 5 is a large as I'd want to go screen wise, but then I don't really use my phone for anything more than facebook, twitter type apps, occasional web browsing when on the train, phone & text

Certainly wouldn't want a 5.9" screen

All I want is a decent battery life in the next Nexus device. The N5 pretty much had everything right in most areas except for battery. Some might add speakers, screen tech and camera but that's all subjective to each individual.

I'd go up to a 5.2" screen but how LG did it with the G2 that IMO was perfect.

Nevertheless we shall soon see what the N6 will be all about.
