*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

As far as KitKat is concerned, the text message database is app independent, so changing the app doesn't lose texts.

Assume it'll be the same in Lollipop.

Yes it is. I have Chomp and the default messaging app and all my text messages show up in both. You can back up using Chomp but not on the default app.

So has anyone using the latest Lollipop preview noticed any difference in battery life?

Lollipop is meant to have that Project Volta so would be interesting to hear if anyone had noticed an increase.

Tried lollipop on my 5. Just put paranoid android on my 7 themed with L on art with m kernel.. It feels better than my 5 on lollipop. Looking forward to slimpop or whatever slimkat changes its name too on 5.0

How long does the N5 usually take to come back into stock. Looks like my much needed Galaxy Nexus upgrade will be to a N5, but the 32GB Black is out of stock.

agree.

running slimkat with franco kernel and battery life has been great.

slim L will be awesome

Eergh. Tempted to pick up another N5 to run this as not sure I can be bothered waiting for Motorola to push the final version to my X :(

Surly it won't be long? I don't know about the X but certainly the Moto G is almost stock so the upgrade should be easy enough for Motorola to do.

Anyone else on Lollipop finding Navigation often crashes on Google Maps? When I tap the icon, the page with Home and Work comes up, but FC almost instantly.
