*** Nexus 7 2nd Gen thread ***

The Canadians are paying $269 on play even though a true exchange would be $278 Canadian $ so I hope that when we get it on play it will cost less than £200 for the 32gb version, I haven't heard what Google have said on UK pricing or availability except for "in coming weeks" and UK play prices are usually roughly dollar parity aren't they?

But they always show it pre-tax, so it's not loads cheaper. We still get a rough deal though.

That's the price including tax, I know so because I made it all the way to paying for it but none of my cards were eligible for payment. So it is loads cheaper, so much so I could buy ten and bring them over to sell if I wanted to but if I got caught at customs I would be screwed. So I just want one for myself

It's available for purchase on Amazon UK now, says delivery will be 28th August.

I'm waiting for some Amazon vouchers and then I'll put my order in :D

Yea, I created a general use spreadsheet and over the period of 6 months without clearing I would easily push past 16GB.

This is including podcasts, music, some videos, games and general files such as high resolution pdf's which I will have a lot of.

That's probably the best idea agnes as don't forget you're only getting about 26Gb free space on the 32Gb model.

I'll be waiting on the LTE version before getting one, no matter how much I want it now!!!

Yea, and I don't want to hassle of choosing which stuff to delete every time I want to add more stuff. Such as series and films for long flights and stuff.

I can't wait, as when it hits shelf's. I fly to Barbados the week after and that's a 9 hour flight! Long enough for me to properly test the battery and stock up on films and stuff to watch.

Unless I can find it for £210 or less, I will probably buy at a shop on launch.

Check my post on the last page, i got the 32Gb version for 208 inc delivery from tesco using a code and £16 of clubcard vouchers. Without the vouchers and the express delivery option it still only came to about £220. Think they have a 20% off thing at the mo on tablets.

Finally got round to collecting the £0.01 case from the post office. It's TINY!!! So small compared to the iPad. I'm excited!

So umm...I placed an order with Tesco yesterday. Order appeared to go through. I got confirmation email. About 10mins ago, I received a voicemail from them telling me, they have cancelled it because I have failed the security checks.

Anyone ever had this problem with Tesco Direct before? I cancelled the order with another e-tailer when I heard there was a discount with Tesco. But now it seems I will have to go back to the previous e-tailer.

Bit put off by that to be honest. I used my credit card which has plenty of money left on it. And I use it quite regularly.

EDIT: I wonder if it's because I just opened the account and I entered my work address for the delivery address? Maybe they require you to use your billing address for an order or two before you can set a 2nd delivery address? Can anyone clarify? Thanks.

^ 18% battery life remains.

I'm liking this battery life! That's with about an hours worth of gaming thrown in! About to start my third cycle of recharging the battery, it's likely to get even better!

Not bad indeed! Assume that's with syncing, updating, installing and such. The usual when you first get a tablet, just abused with apps and tinkering haha.

Pre-ordered mine today. Total of £197 from Tesco (32GB)

That's the voucher and my Mum's staff discount. Will be delivered to her work (the distribution center) so might even get it a little early.

Are these much cheaper in the USA and would there be any compatibility problems (apart from the plug, of course)?

My Dad's missus works over there a lot and could pick me one up.

*edit*

Balls, just rang my Dad and she just got back on Thursday. Not going there for a couple of months. :(
