Not too sure but i use Vital Player. It gives me a software codec error on startup but has so far played all my movies.

Moboplayer used to be my favourite but it doesn't seem to work as well for me anymore.

On my 2nd one of these now after light bleed issues with the first, light uniformity is great on this one but the 2 dead pixels and 2 bits of dust under the screen spread across 3 different areas of the screen mean this one is a no go also.

Xda forum has a long thread going on these issues and it seems Asus QC is horrendous. It seems getting a perfect one is not going to be easy and some on there have tried 3 or more units.

Love the device but not these issues, gutted.

What players have currently enabled ac3 sound enabled. Just got a new Nexus but Bsplayer and MX Player have ac3 issue's, probably Dolby licence issues.

I'm looking at one of these...it'll be my first tablet.

One of the main things I'll be using it for is reading. At first I was thinking of just buying a kindle but then, as you do, I started thinking of all the extra stuff I could do getting a tablet instead.

It's the quality screen on this one that has me really interested..good clear text for reasonably long use is important

It's a brilliant screen for reading due to the high dpi, but if you're anything like me and a few people I know you might not get on with doing any lengthy reading on a proper screen.
I've got both an e ink kindle and the nexus and there's no way I could sit and read a book on my nexus like I can on my kindle.

How do you find the poetic case? Does it add much bulk on?

Got my Poetic case this morning and its cracking. It adds a little bulk but thats something i'm happy to live with esp with having kids.

One week on from sending my Nexus off for repair/replace and I had heard nothing so gave them a ring. Apparently the had me send it to one of there contractors who don't deal with the new Nexus 7 only the old one. Said contractor did the only sane thing they could and put it on the shelf and told no one hoping it would go away. I'm now having to wait even longer while an Asus 'Tier 2' team get on the case....POOR!

I'm very tempted by one of these. I plan to cancel my virgin media TV service as it is rarely watched and move to just freeview and netflix. I was thinking of using the nexus to stream media to my TV but not sure if this is possible. What else would I need to stream content to my TV?

I think the nexus would suit my needs better than say Roku as I would also be able to watch content in bed or use it when the wife has commandeered the TV to watch some home restoration crap.

a slim port to hdmi adaptor lets you mirror your nexus screen to the tv.

I got my Moko case from Amazon the other day. It feels great and fits nice and snug. Oddly enough since i got it i've dropped the thing twice!

How are people finding the wake from sleep function with these flip cases? I seem to find mine works intermittantly.

Don't know about the Google TV box it's not something I've looked at, but I've got the same case as you and find the sleep and wake function works perfectly every time.
