*** Nexus 7 2nd Gen thread ***

The deal breaker for that case for me (and I imagine others too) is the bezel cover, I really dont like the cases that do that, they take away from the sleek looks of the tablet, its added thickness (I had a similar case before I got the moko untra slim and the difference for me is night and day when holding, it adds barely anything in weight and size to the tablet so hilding it is still a joy) and can make using right to the edge of the screen a little tricker with hitting the case first.

Its all opinion though and all the cases suggested do the job, its down to personal preference after that in regards to if they use a stylus, bezel covered or not etc...

I had one that covered the bezel on my original Nexus and it drove me mental when trying to do anything involving swiping from the edge of the screen.

Managed to get my 32Gb one from currys at £189 as I had a £50 off £200 spend voucher.

Overall it is very impressive both performance and screen quality wise.

4 days of use and my only noticeable downsides are:
A)- The screen doesn't always respond to touches - can the sensitivity be turned up?
B)- Battery takes ages to charge....
C)- No 5Ghz wifi band support :(

5ghz WiFi should work

There was meant to be a patch for the sensitivity issues.

thanks guys - just tried it again and yes it found my 5Ghz network.
Much better - half the latency and 42Mb down/20Mb up now on a 76Mb up/20Mb down connection

wierd it couldn't find it the other day.

When I first booted it up on thursday it firstly applied some sort of path, then after there was an OS update.

Anyway I can check to ensure its got the sensitivity patch applied? - Really struggling to use the keyboard on this tbh

Just tried it again - yup seems to struggle with registering touches mainly on the space bar when typing, but also get it adhocc here and there on the rest of the screen :(

I bought the 32Gb LTE version today and have had nothing but problems with the WiFi not connecting or connecting then dropping. (sitting within 5ft of the router)
Managed to stay connected long enough to update but that didn't help, tried safe mode to no avail. internet is full of this problem it seems
Seem to have had success by changing my Virgin "super" hub over to 5Ghz, didn't think this would work but I must admit it's staying strong so far.
Just a heads up if anyone else is having that issue, it's worth a try.

I ain't rooted but it still shows mine as JSS15Q.
Had enough with mine - this intermittent problem getting it to register touches is doing my nut in.

I'll take it back for a replacement tomorrow but if the next one does the same - i'm gunna return for refund

Must say a quick update I love this tablet it is amazing! One question can I access all the music and videos that are in my iTunes library over WiFi like you can with the iPad using iTunes sharing?

I've had no problems with responsiveness of the screen, screen is working great here. No complaints.

Well I have one but it's an issue with stock Android, sometimes you exit a app and for some reason the app doesn't close and just sits there in the background killing your battery.

You would think Android would be smarter than that but oh well...

Huh?

That's normal behaviour.
