*** Nexus 7 2nd Gen thread ***

Coming from Ipad I find this really bad on the Nexus. I'm constantly correcting everything I type as it either misses or adds random characters everywhere.

I took mine back last week because of this (posted earlier in the thread about it). Just google "Nexus 7 2013 touch problems" and loads of people have a problem due to the cheap digitiser they use.

A mate also returned his one too from a different batch as it had the same problem.

Samsung devices don't appear to have this problem.

It is really bad. I have just been using my Daughters Nook HD which is a £79 tablet and it works a lot better than the new nexus for me far less typing errors.

It's a shame as other than this the nexus is perfect but this really does for me make it unusable and a bit of a waste of money.

Is there a way to link a DLSR camera to this tablet to upload photos online?

Just trying to think of ways to transfer the images over, can you do it through a cable?

I think you need to root for this to work. I tried connecting a USB stick with an adapter but it would not recognise it. When I read up it mentions rooting and I gave up as it sounded like hassle.

There is also this but I have no idea if it works although it is meant too. Might be worth a look.

no need to root for NMI, if you have problems not being able to read your usb device you need to change the language to English (US) and restart which should than open your device.

Got mine yesterday. Screen is lovely and clear and no problems as reported on this thread about touch.

I'm using Go Launcher with ABlack theme (looks lovely) but apart from that just have usual apps.

Interested as well to know what apps people are using

I'm going to buy one in the US whilst I'm here, works out at £140. Worth it? Fancy a new tablet.

buy the 32GB for £20 more.

when you go to resell it, i'm pretty sure the resale value of the 32GB model will be £20 more than a 16GB one in a years time, therefore it should work out cheaper to own overall, plus you will have double the space in case you need it.
