*** Nexus 7 2nd Gen thread ***

I tried sideloading last night, couldn't get the adb dos command to work so gave up. I expect a bit of additional googling would have resolved my issues but couldn't be bothered, I'll just wait for the ota. I just wish they didn't stagger it across regions/devices, just push the go button for everyone when it's ready.

Thinking of buying one of these for a friend it be her Christmas present are the touch screen problems fixed seen quite a few videos on youtube showing this problem.
This N7 2nd edition seem to have way too many problems whats gone wrong might just get a cheap 1st edition instead all will that be dumb lol.

Edit change my mind going to get a samsung tablet for her never had any problems with them.

My N7 had a bright white spot on the screen when I got it about a month ago (it went back), so no, I don't think the screen issues are resolved.

I don't think that's the issue he's asking about.

The N7 2013 has crippling touch screen issues, and it still hasn't been fixed.

The digitiser on the N7 2013 is horrendous. So many miss types and random changing of digits. My kids nookHD works better. Its unacceptable for a £240 tablet but neither Asus or Google are doing anything. I imagine its hardware and cannot be fixed tbh.

Lucky you then. Lots of people have!

The number of people with problems on the first Nexus 7 was a joke. It's not nearly as bad this time round, but I still think it's unacceptable.

Hopefully, next year, LG will be the only manufacturer making Nexus devices. They actually seem to know what they are doing.

I think the 4.4 update (I sideloaded it via ADB) has improved the touchscreen problems somewhat. At least, I haven't died an unfair death in Temple Run 2 since I updated.

Ginga
