*** Nexus 7 2nd Gen thread ***

I have that case and think it is fantastic.

Agree with this. It's cheap (about £13), protects the entire device including the edges, stays nicely closed due to the magnet, wakes and puts the devide to sleep automatically, feels and looks reasonable for the price, has a soft lining and supports the device upright when needed. I'm not sure what the other colours look like but I like the look of my black one. The only very minor complaint I have is that it feels a tiny bit plastic rather than leather or suede - which is to be expected for the price.

Mine gets put in a bag for daily commuting so I would be very reluctant to spend a lot of money on it as it may get scuffed in the bag over time. This feels sturdy, looks great, and if it does get scuffed then it's not a lot of money to replace.

I just got it. Those that haven't... Don't poo yourselves, it's more than likely a staggered update so that they don't crash their servers.

I think there is a way to prevent waiting (sort of push your way up the cue).
Go apps, all apps and open google framework services ->force stop ->clear data. Then go to check for updates (you will notice the last check will now be 01/01/1970) and do check now. From what I have read it sometimes takes a few goes, (ie do the force stop clear data thing again then check for updates) but it should force your device to update so you don't have to wait.

Worked first time for me... Updating now.

Thanks.

First time for me too

Got a Nexus phone but can't wait for the over-the-air update process to deliver the latest and greatest operating system to your handset? Simple, clear the service framework data and commence mashing the update key. Not so fast, hotshot, says Google's Dan Morrill, who has taken to Reddit to advise users against the approach. On the thread, the engineer has said that wiping the data will invalidate your push notifications in a variety of minor, yet annoying ways. While this process won't brick your smartphone, Morrill advises that if you want to save yourself some annoyance, you use adb sideload to avoid the messiness altogether.
