Anyone rooted on 4.4.3? Is it any different than rooting other versions? Finally caving in and want to use PS3 controller on my N7.

I tether my N7 to my iphone 4 via bluetooth all the time when out and about, but each time I turn off bluetooth on my phone and then on again (like the next day or the next metro journey for example) I have to go into bluetooth settings and tell it to use the blueetooth connection for internet access.

It remembers and automatically pairs with the iphone but requires me to tell it to use it for internat access every time. It's very annoying, is this a fault or a limitation of the device?

The Hut are selling off 32GB Nexus 7s for £129.

Tempted but as ever when these things crash in price, I can't help but feel that i'll buy it then regret it when the new one appears in a few weeks time and blows the old one out of the water.

Then when I wait to find out instead the old model decent deals have dried up :p

edit - same at Argos by the looks of it

edit 2 - some people are saying it's the 2012 version not the 2013 - how are you meant to tell the difference when everywhere just describes them as Nexus 7s?

I had lots of trouble with this, which is why I decided just to put it new off Amazon. The only way I could tell was if it was '1gb' or '2gb' of ram, 2gb being 2013 version - but most people didnt put either the version or ram amount in the specs.

Hi All

I was greeted with the system update notification the other day but wanted to check something before I went ahead with it.

Currently I'm on 4.42 and rooted using the wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit. Is it safe to run the OTA or do I need to unroot first and then if so can I reroot after?

Go for a sun subscription, get a free n7 2013 32gb for £86 total, just remember to cancel at the right time.

Also another way to tell is weight - sub 300g for 2013, more for 2012.

The Hut ones are 2012, they've got a lower resolution and the marketing image is the 2012 one rather than the 2013 version also 2013 shipped with 4.3 not 4.2.
